This article makes me mad. Why the fuck would you put Isopropyl in your Nespresso machine to make Cannabis extracts… Scientists in Spain… Seems like the bar to be a scientist there is pretty fuckin’ low imo
But why
As if cleaning or repairing a real Italian espresso machine isn’t enough of a pain in the ass…
Solvent + biomass = unrefined nasty crude /= consumable extracts. Especially using isopropyl. The fuck?
Here’s an alternate idea: what about just using water? The heat and pressure ought to melt the oils off the cannabis and yield a rosin-like product. Call it water rosin.
Use ethanol instead.
Wouldn’t work like that, unfortunately. It would just make funny tasting water. And some funky ass soggy weed. I do wonder if it would be decarbed at all in this process and used. Or just doodoo shots
It must make some pretty heinous oil.
For analytical work…
Do you want your analysis fast, cheap, AND accurate?
Now you can use baristas for lab techs…
We wash our pans with hot water (When they aren’t in a cooler soaking) and make this killer shatter/butter mix … People eat the shit up . .
Just fold and press in cloth over and over. (Makes it like 9 layers of budder/shatter) It’s an interesting substance for sure.
I’d love to see some pictures. Sounds interesting
No pictures of cannabis being extracted with one, but they work for extracting dirt too…
And In case anyone missed… this is for analytical work, not making meds
Reminds me of this.
I’m gonna use one of these as an anti solvent wash
Theres been some FB groups for this. I think they were calling it :“Espresso Tek” from last time I checked in on these groups they wernt making hash yet, but talking about it.
loading the boiler of my espresso machine with pH 12 water would probably void the warrantee right?
Don’t let them tell you what to do. Don’t take any guff from those swine
If you want to go down a coffee rabbit hole. This guy is the extraction expert when it comes to coffee.
Initially he comes off super pretentious, but the more you watch him, the more you can tell he is just obsessed with coffee and loves sharing about it. I always consult his videos before buying anything coffee related!
has he tried ultrasonics?
I’ve got a labmate who uses the ultrasonic cleaner to makes the coffee.
