It's Willbillytek. Duh

yes there is a certain nuance involved in the description…I agree.
nowSpherical micelles
generally emulsions require shear force in preparation.

In the case I describe, we have ethanol solubilized cannabinoid.
To this solubilized (imagine each cannabinoid caged by ethanol)
mixture we add water. One might imagine the cannabinoid as a
non ionic surfactant or the ethanol as a surfactant…or the hydrogen-bonded solvated form as a surfactant…

depending on the cannabinoid there is a % water value that will effect
instantaneously (entropic driven?) rearrangement of the solution
to a marcromolecular (micelle like form). It forms a fairly stable
opaque solution of structured form. Those familiar with such
micelles (louches as 4200 like to call this state) know that you can not
extract into alkane…which is exactly your description of the polar outside
hydrocarbon tail inside. These “micelles” can be prepared in alternative
solutions with varying salt and pH and concentration…ie their form can
be disrupted to afford a back extraction into alkane.

if you want to refer to such preparations a shearless emulsions…
please do.

that rotating model…is great…if you could do that for CBD, THCA and CBDA…it would be a bonus descriptor.
Looking at the model…your reservations are well noted. I can understand why you might not consider it a “classic micelle”.

colloidal suspension perhaps… a mixture having particles of one component , with diameters between 10 −7 and 10 −9 metres, suspended in a continuous phase of another component. The mixture has properties between those of a solution and a fine suspension.

as you can filter though a 0.2u filter…the filter will retain some but not all.
so with those caveats…???

You mean like a jacketed dual neck flask to be able to use a heater/chiller on

Now that’s fuckin sick!

Thanks… something I’ve always wanted in my arsenal. I can see many applications for this piece.

Cool thing is… with a rare earth magnet, still spins like a ballerina on crank.

A few changes I wanna make to it but, for the most part, it’s been fun to play with.

I heard that if you collect all of the different gemstones and dab them at the same time you become immortal

Pretty epic dab.

I dunno, I got a video of a few of us trying to take down a fucking BOULDER at the OKC workshop last month. I have no idea how the fuck that wasn’t a day-ender

I am still mortal… but stay tuned we’ll cook up some green ones soon to complete the mission

Unfortunately they only gave the first to achieve it immortality, the rest have been cursed to just look really really cool :sunglasses::rofl::joy:

Mitokid’s noted remarks about ionic metal salts should be taken seriously.
and the examples of ammonium salts and organic ammonium “salts”
is something for everyone to consider.
“It is not a matter of thca salt vs thca proton …it is a matter of whether
butane extractors know which one they have”
With the Ortho-hydroxy Salicylate like moiety, but in Resorcinol analogue form…
one has to wonder about the disassociation of the H+ unit…being not only solvent dependent but also “ion pairing” dependent, e.g., a primary, or secondary amine, vs a
tertiary amine. There may well be a grey area of “ion liquids” to deal with here
and relative degrees of proton transport depending on aprotic vs protic solvents as well.
This is what I read in the literature. And of course, everything discussed here is pH dependent as we are working with weak acids and bases.

Exhibiting a pKa of 3 and bound in a intra molecular hydrogen bonded ring,
what do we really know about “solution salts” or crystalline salts of cannabinoic acids
or ionic liquid forms.

Well it s all jiberish to me but salting out defenatly is peaking my interest by the day
So the amine is ok low yield and well
The left over crude is ruined
Now ammonia is a whole different story in pure form it s a great reagent
