It's Willbillytek. Duh

You have to read all of them again, and also read the supporting material provided.

It’s not really Xmas at all, that was a strange misdirection that has been taking far too seriously. Kinda sweet and Blueberry-ish, at least the one I got. Like, in a good way, it smells like fresh port-a-potty water. Without the pee and poop, obviously

You guys are funny. :joy::joy: I think people here like to complicate things way too much.

My girlfriend likes making her own cosmetics and medicines, she sent me something last night that sent me down quite a rabbit hole. I contacted J12 and after about 5-6 hours of research I think we emerged with a pretty good idea of what might be going on. At least, a plausible thesis as far as the crystallization and coloration goes. I don’t have the time or man power to source or try any of it so hopefully he can do a few experiments and let y’all know. But, if we are right it seems relatively simple.

On a side note I did try them in OK. Got me blazed out my mind, boardline panic attack. But it instantly reminded me of something about my childhood. I couldn’t put my Finger on it then and I still honestly can’t. But if our thesis proves correct then it actually makes a lot of sense of why it’s something that I would distinctly remember from being a child. I almost died at age of 5 because of an adverse reaction to some vaccines. Doctors left me for dead pretty much and because of that I grew up very differently than a lot of kids. I never went to doctors again grew up on lots of natural and herbal medicines, essential oils, farm raised foods, etc. if I ever got sick I was given home remedies.

I honestly can’t remember what all has been talked about here so I won’t go into depth on anymore in case some things haven’t been discussed yet but I think that with what I have written here, there is more than enough information for anyone to also do some research and possibly draw the same hypothesis as we did last night.

Till next month :v:

btw…I did not mention it earlier…that is a very good point…
for classic emulsions.
“In contrast to emulsions, micelles are thermodynamically stable systems. They also have highly dynamic and flexible structures, with surfactant molecules rapidly entering and leaving the micelle. Even so, they do have a clearly defined average size (distribution) and shape over measurable time scales.” With cannabinoids in water ethanol solutions
I would say the cannabinoid plays the role of the surfactant.

water-ethanol-cannabinoids make spontaneous micelles…

In order to form a micelle you need to have polar heads and nonpolar tails. Doesn’t seem to be the case with cannabinoids. The stability comes from the polar and nonpolar groups stacking themselves together to present a polar outward facing surface to interact with a polar environment (or vice versa). I don’t see that happening with cannabinoids.

I have my first dab of it still recorded and giggle when I rewatch it. Was cool to meet you seshing. Good luck on future ventures man.

(Mamoris, 2022) I’ll be sure to quote you on that.

practice mixing pure cannabinoid in alcohol with water for 5 years and back-extracting into alkane …give me an update. the matrix not only concerns CMC but also % alcohol and pH. hint: every cannabinoid is different.

Louche back into alkane :sunglasses:

one way to describe the problem.

All I’m saying is to make a micelle you need spatial localization of polar and non polar regions and the ability to self-assemble into a thermodynamically stable form. Even if you get all the C5 chains pointed inward/outward will the remainder compact into a core/shell through solely intermolecular attractions?

What you are describing seems more like an emulsion than a micelle.

This is THC not THCA. so there would be slightly more charge adjacent to the -OH but it seems to be sterically hindered from self assembly

Versus a typical micelle

The stability of the micelle comes from the polar interactions with the external polar environment. All of the unfavorable polar-nonpolar forces are avoided by the sequestration of the polar tails inside the ‘cloud’ of polar head groups.
