Long story short, I recently had a fire inspection that was going well untilh the main inspector showed up and started writing fines left and right! 
moving forward all our equipment has to be certified by a CA approved professional engineer. Thought Iād ask if thatās a service you can provide?

If @Soxhlet cant helpā¦you might want to talk to @bg305 as i think he was having some of his equipment certified to use in CA. I think his dude is in SoCal.

But in my world I was toldā¦food grade or high purity that donāt say food gradeā¦sounds like H.P. may have impurities possibly?

Thanks for the heads up and info! Iām going to be getting a quote from a local guy today, going to try and group a bunch of gear together to save a little 
. It can get real pricy for a professional engineer certification.

The guys at the gas company tell me that the nirto comes often from the same tank. High purity tanks are not inspected like their other brethern. Usually they will take the valve off a normal tank and inspect the inside before refill.
They dont do that with the high purity tanks.
The other difference is the high purity comes with paperwork cerifying the contents of the tank. What you pay for is the extra care in the way they inspect and the paper you receive, other than that it comes from the same place!

You can buy a nitrogen generator for less than 2k and never have to worry about it. They arenāt expensive, and they both use the same permeability.

@Dred_pirate is correct and has the right idea. If you plan on using nitro for the long term(5-10yr plan) this is the way to go. Being the most abundant element in the atmosphere makes it cheap to produce.

Does the n2 generator make pressure as well? Or is another compressor needed? You use one of these?
Has one built in. When I first started nitro assisting and spoke with @FarmerJoeParker about it, heās the one that put me on that path. He was suggesting that I disassemble one and use the membrane when vacāing out nitro, to be completely safe.

I have been working with my Praxair guy and trying to get the membrane by itself new. I want to work on a way produce them for the passive market. I think it would be a selling point for production facilities in turning them away from active recovery. Canāt say itās unsafe and a more advanced tech doesnāt have to be so involved.

Update on the t-41 clay. I am useing it in the same configuration as the t-5 tests I was previously conducting.
The color is a smidge darker than the t-5 experements. I will continue to test the t-41 in different configurations.

You want a filter plate every 5 diameters of tube you use to cut down on the channeling. Hit it slow with pressure too, A high pressure spike on injection can cause fissures to form in the packed bed. Your best easing the solvent in, then once it is flowing boost your tank with n2 to raise the pressure. Frothing and pressure spikes are stuff to watch out for, they both decrease the filters performance.

Iāve been playing around with using an expansion tank to capture the GAN from my LN2 heat exchanger for down stream use. Was going to buy a compressor to compress it back into a high pressure tank. Looks like I can just buy a N2 generator instead!! Will be adding on to my list of new toys to get.

I have an arbor press Iām going to use to pack everything evenly in my filter plate. Iāll inject using less pressure and add more if I need to. I do stall momentarily, before dumping into my collection.

Sounds like key info!! If my column is 6ā Iād want a plate every 6ā? also not sure if this was already asked but what about packing via vacuum? Seems like a wet pack might help with channeling? Pull light vac and let er run for a few hours to completely dry out
