How many lbs of biomass is it taking you guys to produce 1 kg CBD distillate?

Nvm. Saw your answer above.

Chromatography

You cheeky bloke you… :joy::rofl::joy:

I do CO2 extraction and process 13lbs a hit and harvest approximately 300 -350g in 2-2.5hrs.

Input and output potencies?

Follow the mass balance, or you don’t have any clue how much you’re leaving behind.

What do you mean by mass balance?

I get about 3.4g per pound per pecent

10kg of 10% CBD contains 1000g of actual CBD.

where is it when you’re done?!?
How efficient was it?

eg 454g of 10% biomass should contain 45.4g of CBD.

if you’re getting 34g of 100% CBD you’re at 34/45.4 => about 75% efficiency, and are leaving 25% of your target behind.

if however, that 34g of “CDB” is actually at 60% CBD (which is my guess at unwinterized CO2 crude), then you’ve only got 20.4gram of CBD and you’re looking at less than 50% extraction efficiency.

Would you be willing to share any thoughts on increasing efficiency? Thanks for the explanation as well!

change solvents: Ethanol v. CO2 v. Hydrocarbon.....Cage match 420
or add a co-solvent. Open source CXE retrofit for Co2 extractors
after first grabbing the terpenes. Refining Hemp Terpenes
which CO2 is apparently pretty good at.

head back over to CO2 extraction in an Apeks machine. and tell us more about what you’re currently doing.
