It did not effect the setting, in any way … that was noticable to me…
How are you going to deal with microbial grown and mold if you used fruit puree and no preservative?
Lol… im not telling you… thats for sure…
But my wife and i have been doing this added step FOR YEARS… nothing to do with gummies… it’s just pure common knowledge…
Lol youre so funny. You think id want to use real fruit when my recipe is all organic and natural since forever.
Nice dodge though id love to see how the longevity testing on those goes. Have you actually done any testing on your gummies or are you guessing about expiration dates and nutritional facts / calorie count?
Man you have no clue whats going down in your recipe…
Thats whats… sets us apart…lol
Kerep on keeping on… man
Lol you’re funny ive been making pectin gummies 10 x longer then you, I developed my own recipe from trial and error I know alot more about making pectin gummies then you.
The fact you havent done any food testing on your product shows exactly how ignorant you are and what kind of quality youre producing lol
Ive never had someone say my product is uneatable and they wouldnt eat it again even if given it for free, ive heard several forum members say that about your gummies
I rember you have the God complex
Nice personal attacks. Still waiting for you to actually reply to me about food testing
Youre so spicey i must have struck a nerve
And you reply
Lol
We test alll of the variables… so exactly what are you asking for… but you can suck my nuts…
Mhmmm sureeeee
Is that why you’re resorting to personal attacks?
Youre just mad because you havent actually sent any of your products to a food testing lab for any actual real testing
You must be drunk i literally just asked you above
You havent which is pretty obvious since you dont even know what im talking about lol
I wasn’t aware pineapple, or mango, was ever questioned on usability in pectin gummies. I’ve been using both (Lorann’s flavoring) in my pectin recipes for many months without any issues.
I think it has more to do with the acidity and enzymes in the juice. I assume it would perform similar to citric acid, especially if using a pH buffer. While I appreciate the extra touches that these boys have given their gummies, I do feel that a decent pectin SOP with corn syrup and flavoring oil is fine enough for 90% of people. When my competition is selling sprayed gummies and Doritos, I concern myself less with absolute product quality, and more so on packaging and marketing. We are selling drugs after all. As long as it’s good nuff and gets em high, the custie really doesn’t care.
It’s funny watching people argue over whose sugary confection is more “natural, healthy, and organic”…
“My gelatin is grassfed, think of all the extra nutrients!”
I been doing the same. I need to come up with a gummy that’s not a edible with Matcha and Gaurana based, vegan, non GMO, natural ingredients, and sugar free with a decent shelf life packaged. It’s not as easy as I thought trying to get a recipe that will work. I been thru the threads and there are fantastic posts on gummies, but I can’t find one to meet the requirements.
Doubt there’s any bromelain in the Loranns flavor
Considering some people in this thead use “dyes” being able to use natural colorings is a big deal
Werent you the one who was talking about how red 40 is made from bugs?

Theres literally no need to use corn syrup though there are much better alternatives
I havent found this to be true. Sprayed on gummies will get you high but will taste horrible, most people who enjoy eatables dont only do it for the high but also for the taste. If someone doesnt enjoy the taste of your product theyre not going to buy it again when there’s actually good tasting eatables out there that you cant even taste the cannabinoids in. Im dealing with a few different customers who had the exact experience im talking about above and will be switching to my gummies based on the fact they cant taste the cannabinoids in my gummy where they could in the previous ones they were buying from someone else
I understand where you are coming from insofar as I regularly put my products up against all of the mfgs in my local market, and ours are overwhelmingly better. It’s not that we are settling for a sub-par product, its just that the focus of product quality quickly reaches diminishing returns and as long as we are better than 90% of the products on the market, it’s not particularly useful to try to engineer a better product especially if it costs more to produce.
Theres literally no need to use corn syrup though there are much better alternatives
Does your alternative cost less than 50$/5gal bucket? We get sugar from brazil at 36$/50lb bag. I am sure that a better product can be made without using corn syrup, but at what price point? In a market that is in a race to the bottom, costlier materials doesn’t really entice me when people already rave over the products that we currently produce.
Just because you boys like measuring dicks on who the gummy king is doesn’t mean that anyone else hasn’t filled up composition books halving & bracketing the ingredient permutations to engineer the best gummy possible given the materials and procedures used.
I don’t really get the hate for Corn Syrup anyway…
I mean I get that it is really fucking bad for you, but it seems like a fools errand for smaller mfgs to try and formulate around it when >95% of the people buying these products are already consuming it in other non-cannabis products. While I am sure there is a market for healthier cannabis edibles, I don’t believe that they would drastically change my business and therefore am not super interested in engineering those products to compete (especially on price) with other products in the marketplace.
