Yes, that’s what I was referring to. There comes a time when the temp gets too cool. And if you go back over the matt or a section… YOU WILL FUCK UP A PERFECT RECIPE/SOP/COOK. If you’re doing a 100% gelatin recipe, this can pretty easily be fixed.
I suggest you increase your temps into the 180’s and let us know how that works out before you go off chasing zebras. If you’re not familiar with the term chasing zebras, google it.

PCCA is stupid expensive, try Fagron or Letco they probably have the same stuff a bit cheaper… the “ready made” stuff is probably just premixed with stevia… they have to tell you what’s in the ingredient list if you request it
Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) is hydrophilic while cannabinoids are the opposite - lipophilic. So using PEG for cannabinoids will not work.
I have a SOP for making tablets that dissolves in the mouth:
Example for 1000 mg cannabinoids:
Mix…
1000 mg Cannabinoids in powder form (if liquid, then place it in the freezer 12 H, take it out and rasp it to powder, and weight 1000 mg), with…
5600 mg Lactose (or Glucose or Fructose), and…
2000 mg Microcrystalline Cellulose 102, and…
1200 mg Povidone (PVP), and…
100 mg of a Fruit Extract (food grade).
Mix the powders well.
Then add 100 mg Magnesium Stearate.
Continue to mix.
You now have 10 grams (10.000 mg) of a powder that can be compressed to tablets / pills that taken will slowly dissolve in the mouth. The concentration of cannabinoids is 10%.
I have tried it with CBD isolate, which already is in powder form, and uses a tablet press. The result is perfect I will make some tests with extracts as well. The original SOP comes from a Pharma company for an active ingredient that is fat-soluble like cannabinoids.
This is how you take the pH reading in your pectin batches.
1st off dont buy the an expensive pH meter… especially one of the higher temperature meters, that can go for $500-$2000… iv already saved you $450, because we need a $50 meter from Amazon.
Now you need to get some half jelly jars… Ball jars, the smallest they make…
Very important… Use DISTILLED WATER… Add 10 grams of distilled water into 4 separate jars… place jars in to a refrigerator…(My refrigerator is set at 33F) at least 30 minutes before they are need…
When its time to take the pH… Very important… TAKE 10 GRAMS of BATTER and add to one of the cooled jars… and mix well… no clumps what so ever… take your reading, you should be close to room temperature immediately. You save your pH meter and theres no waiting…
