do you spray anything in the molds before depositing the gummy? Iām using this thing for smaller gummyās itās mct in a plastic bag surrounded by propellant

fuck me bro. thatās pretty sick for the ketchup bottles. havenāt timed it but Iām pretty sure my attempts have not been anywhere close to that.
iāve been using a crockpot since I donāt have a sous vide, but it seems to be perfect for maintaining 120F.

Are you still using those damn ketchup bottles? I donāt really fuck with the pour n scrape because of all the flashings. We used the ketchup bottles for a while but they are such a pain to clean.

I use syringes, they work well. Pour and scrape had me cleaning my counter for 20 minutes
Ketchup bottles sound like it would have air bubbles

Yeah. I spent around 2500$ trying to scratch an itch that Iāve had for 2 years. I always thought a peristaltic bottle filler with heated lines could make a depositor. I tried using my bottle filler and it actually worked! Until the lines gelled up. Fast forward 2 years and I designed a system with heated lines, gear pump, and a custom gun dubbed the Gummy Gat, that could fire the pump to pump the gummy batter. We tried for a week to get it to compete with either the ketchup bottle or our new stainless handheld depositors. Unfortunately the gear pump I selected could not move enough fluid without cavitating the batter. A larger pump at way slower shaft speeds would have worked, but honestly the bottleneck is cooking and packing.
Getting it into molds is the easy part that is embarrassingly parallelizable. Itās the same dilemma with the Cart Farmer. You have to spend an exponential amount more money to buy any equipment that could have a chance of keeping up with a dedicated wook.
