Gummy recipe and SOP inside

@mgucci molds are very nice. I’m tweaking our recipe to his molds volume and count. Our current recipe will do 715-720 count in his cubes.

Nice! Glad your digging it. Sure makes life easy peasy. I’m running a 1780 1.1ml cube mold. It’s the bees knees.

1.1…what?
Volume or size?

1.1ml size. Running 1780 cubes at time roughly 2000ml of mix.

ml = volume
Inches… mm… cm = size

Our mold is almost 3x your volume

@mgucci we need these in a smaller volume and bigger candy count.
These are perfect, dont get me wrong. Different strokes for different folks.
I cant pour and scrape the bear molds and there is a need for a smaller volume cube, that can be poured and scrapped.

This fits 18x26 sheet pan. Pour & scrape done in less than 3 minutes. Brilliant.

@GummyJ point me in the direction where you got the small cube molds.

@darkcitymolds do you have cube molds in the 1ml volume or close to that volume?

This is the 1!

Appreciate the feedback. We made the current cube mold for a client that wanted 25mg in their gummy.

We’re more than willing to make smaller cubes if the forum wants to do a group buy

It would be nowhere near 280$

Apples vs apples.

@mgucci if my calculations are correct, your mold would have a 600 or so candy count.

It takes close to three of your molds (1800) to get the same count as the $280… yea?

It would be completely dependent on the design. Don’t make assumptions

We could do the full sheet mold for nearly 50% off their price point (this is only for future members) *same or similar # of cavities

We prefer half sheet for transportability, easier to wash, and a few other reasons.

I agree, that be a bitch to clean in a home kitchen sink but perhaps a commercial sink would make it an easy task. There I go assuming again, lol.

Dishwasher my brother. Easy peasy. You’ll love knocking out almost 2k gummys in minutes. Straight to the commercial freezer to cool & they pop right out.

What dishwasher is going to fit 20 molds?

Dishwasher would be a definite overkill.
All you need is a hot soak in soapy water, followed by a rinse.

These large molds are soo easy to dry after washing. No need for an oven or anything special.
The water seems to come off easer with banging on the counter. I really cant explain it other than they are much heavier.

What’re you using to sand them currently?

Dark city molds definitely has the 1ml cube. I have 20 of them.

Yeah maybe overkill for someone who isn’t terribly busy. I’ve soaked & washed before she’s just large. Lay a towel out slam it down all the water comes out quick. YMMV

She holds a special place in my heart…she’s not for everyone

I toss my gummy molds in the dishwasher

I have a Bosch that will fit multiple 18x26 molds. In reality you could clean over 12,000 cavities in under 24 minutes.
