February Member of the Month is @BigM

On the 30th of each month we will announce a “Member of the Month”

@Sidco_Cat is already the forum MOM! She doesn’t have to be voted in, she already is! Take it up with her if you dare…
The winner will be selected by poll, held here in this post.

Nomination for MoMs will be held in this thread from the 1st to the 15th of each month. The top members with the most nominations each month will be entered into the public poll from the 15th till the end of the month.

Nominations need to include the members @ and a summary for why they’ve been nominated. I’m going to ask that a nominee receives a “second” to their nomination to be eligible for the vote, in hopes of keeping things orderly in the competition.

Winners will receive a complementary Lifetime GLG membership, including Lab Coat, discounts, and invites to meetups. (Transferrable prior to registration at GoodLifeGang.tech)

Let’s try to take this at least semi seriously and show some recognition for those working hard to help us all level up together. There are so many members offering knowledge bombs freely here, it can be hard to narrow it down to one each month. They all are winners in my eyes!

I’m going to go ahead and nominate @TheLostBiologist for the H2O2 Medusa Stone thread.

It starts out with one of the best posts I’ve seen in a while as far as scientific method and thoroughness goes, and the whole discussion has managed to stay scientific and on topic while remaining open minded with great exchange of ideas. It’s the juicy stuff like this that drew me in and got me hooked on future4200. Stuff like TheLostBiologist Bucket and Post Processing Tek for Golden Extract.

I’m sure I speak for many when I say I was thrilled to read such quality posts and threads, and hope to see many more! Thanks for taking the time to kindle the fire in our minds!!

I always find @roguelab to be one of my favorite accounts to read activity from. That’s my nomination.

Mostly chemistry and conversions related but he’s brilliant.

I wanna nominate @cyclopath (who somehow hasn’t won yet) for the abundance of spoons handed out, and the reinforcement of the power of search

appreciated.
I already have a lifetime GLG.
don’t recall contributing much recently.
too busy trying to play catch up.

I’ll second @cyclopath for giving just enough of a spoonful to make me read more threads.

& who cares if you have a lifetime…you are still a great contributor.

Agreed, he’s one of the reasons I stick around. I enjoy the information, even more so when it’s dressed in poetic form.

I do enjoy when we tosses the spoon in at 80 below and with just enough salt to make me say ‘damn’ that well written

I agree @Roguelab is one of the all-time greatest, it’s bananas that he hasn’t been “berthed” a MOM yet

Thank you for the kind words
But like @cyclopath i am chasing behind
This time cbd> cbd-a in high yield
At scale is a bitch

But as any mad scientist half the fun is the chase
For those that wish ptsa in butane gives yield as any start cold for the exotherm spike your pressure

Is that a heat gun? What’s this contraption called?

Pretty sure ptsa eats SS

I can attest, personally, that @cyclopath comes into work every single day with at least one spoon in his pocket. He may lose it by the end of the day, but he’ll come in with another the day after, guaranteed. Sometimes there’s a fork, too. Gotta watch out for them.

does he hand them out like tips for the day

Might not have done anything specific lately but I also follow putting the father of spoons up for member of the year/month for all the things he’s done over the years…he’s held my hand quiet a few times over the years and I’ve taken much from his post… The most… The man had bucket of spoons for gods sake! @cyclopath for mom , you can give the membership to someone u think deserves it
