Anyone know where I can find a replacement?
Also looking for a 100l or 200l solvent tank in NorCal
It would help if you can provide additional photos with the sightglass removed, showing both the glass itself and where it sits under that collar, if there is a gasket associated etc.
It’s possible they’re available as ready made replacement parts, you might also have a possibility in measuring the disc diameter and thickness and having a local glassworker cut it to spec out of a glass type that can handle the parameters of whatever you’re doing inside that vessel.
sub-question: what are we doing inside of this vessel??
We’ve had a few people look at our tanks here at EcoGreen lately, and I’ve been out sick the last couple days, so I’m not sure if you’ve been in or not. We do have a new tank in stock. Since I saw this on here, I’ve got permission to give you 10% off on the tank that’s in stock. That’s a $450 discount. Just send me a private message with a name (real or fake) and I’ll give it to the front desk so they know who gets that discount.
That shit catch on fire or something?
That top tc fitting looks all sorts of charred.
I’m 70% sure that’s a Soviet era submarine
Probably be able to scoop em up cheap these days I’d imagine
Ya it went boom boom. Not on my watch…wasn’t my lab at the time either thank god. Haven’t found a sight glass yet so if anyone knows the magic spot I’d appreciate the info and could cash app ya something for the help…
What do you plan on putting in this solvent tank?
Would you guys match a competitors price on the solvent tanks? You’re asking 4500 for the same thing someone else carries for like 2200…
That thing is probably not safe to use anymore and is probably possessed by its dark past. Why and where did you get this?
God damn!
Can’t imagine what the building/structure it was In looks like, Hope it was shed tek (even better, outside tek)…
If it was outside I doubt it would’ve even happened.
It’s still safe to use…
I would really just be worried about the gasket “mating surfaces” (idk if that’s the right term LOL) imo
I’ll pressure test it eventually.
Solvent. Was gunna use it as a collection…
Doubtful. Heat like that will change the crystalline structure of the metal, often making it more brittle. There’s a reason QC calls out excessive heat, the welds have a tendency to cause cracks in the base metal if you overdo it
Wish I could find the thread about the hemp place that burned down, I remember they planned to re use some of there cls parts…
Iirc lots more info in that one about the steel etc
Wish I could remember the user who posted that. Drawing a blank.
This’n?
Already seen people do it for months with the other shit that got burned… the inside looks like new…ish.
It’s a bomb waiting to go off, but I guess go ahead and follow your friends jumping off that bridge
