Whats the accurate real world statistics on Illumintated Extractors

I would absolutly care about the character of the person I’m buying a half million dollar extractor from. A person’s character is like their principals for operating in life, and it likely has a direct correlation to how their businees is run.

You service the machine I installed at the Tribe that is delinquent on payments in Desert?

They never paid us their final balance and it seems they still re-trained a new set of staff and are running that machine that’s not released yet from us.

Never once did Boris or Elliott, nor any of the smaller OEM’s fuck me on machines delinquent or stolen. Nor the future4200 community. Only other guy is Scisol.

I’ve never been back out there since the one time I came out for training.

And as far as I can remember we haven’t heard from them in extremely long time.

Edit: Interesting you jumped on the dog pile instead of actually just asking me in a DM. But no, we haven’t worked with them so you can calm down now. Not good to make assumptions that are not true just because you feel like it. Time lapse of the run, was too big to upload here directly. 1 hour as one minute video, one picture every 2 seconds.

-19c exiting the extraction columns… 70/30 to 90/10 Propane HEAVY blend.

Finally had a little free time today to make a time lapse of 1 hour - running all four socks in that time, which is the quoted rate for the Manticore (50 lb per hr). Expects 12.5 lb socks.

Started with the machine at room temperature and included that as part of the runtime.

We were below -50c by the time we had bio in the machine. :person_shrugging::trophy:

Accusing you if you guys are still servicing them/trained them again for that machine.

Some of the remaining Techs said you guys were still helping them months later after I told you guys what was happening with the delinquent payments.

I did email you forever ago, and never got a response on this, as well, FYI. Like 1 year ago when this all went down.

Not trying to attack u. But both of us could have addressed this account/sale better with more communication. Noting that.

Your machine does work, FYI to all those wondering. The first run made isolate because it cooled down too much, and we agitated the shit out of it.

Provided it’s a single pass heat exchanger, any connection other than this is wasted duty. You want the hot fluid outlet to see the coldest incoming fluid…regardless of top/bottom and up/down.

This is the inlet and outlet properly connected…

And what the condenser is supposed to look like AKA one uniform consistent temperature from bottom to top and no waterfall visible.

You can clearly see you in the picture that we come in the top and out the bottom which then goes to the next stage in this system which should be taken advantage of gravity because when the vapor turns into liquid gravity takes effect and it falls and collects in the bottom which makes sense for it to come out the bottom.

Addressing the original question, not here for the troll battle. We’ve been running an IE unit for some time and very happy with it. Comfortably processing 300kg of FF into 15kg per shift with a team of around 6 handling pre-processing, processing and post-processing. Extraordinary flexibility with finished product results and substantially reduced time post-processing. These systems are complex, not simple. It demands your most experienced and skilled team. When my kid turns 16, they are not starting off with a race car. The onus is on you to figure out how you want to operate it.

Oh yeah, everyone knows how to build one better, or 'What they should have done is …". There are things I would have engineered differently too. Meanwhile, our IE has done us well. Due to NDAs, some details must be left out, I can’t answer all your questions here.

This is a different system. They tore apart the system in Ohio and did something else with it.

From what they said, they still use the GD1, frame, steel, and other parts of it but certified their own machine from our base system with extra chillers and stuff hooked up to it. :person_facepalming::person_shrugging:

Yes of course it works as it is supposed to when it’s properly connected. Just like every other system that we’ve sold works correct when it’s correctly connected.

To be honest how can you call something a complete loss when you use pretty much every part of it still with some changes and a new certification?

I’m going to guess the whole jacketed with a solvent thing freaked them out, and they chose to jacket with other fluids that dont endothermically evaporate lol.

Whole propane jacket thing went ‘right over their heads’ lol.

Idk if anyone is interested—and I’m not posting any numbers quite yet, because I’m not 100% done and I’m still trying to expand ideal PFDs into an actual P&ID with material columns, etc

but, the math is…promising.

@IlluminatedExtractor is doing something that is fundamentally, mathematically sound. Now, I’m not claiming the system works, I won’t do that until I have a working model im comfortable releasing to the forum, but right now I’m leaning that direction.

probably one of the more technically challenging models I’ve worked on since undergrad.

in the process I ran into some existing technologies that leverage very similar technology, namely: auto-refrigeration cascades, linde-hampson cycles and Claude cycles.

Mathematically sound or not it seems like you need very experienced operators. Tons of user error can happen and build quality looks pretty bad.

if this is something you’d want to let $20 an hour guys run and you base your entire business model on that I think you are gonna have a bad time. The people here that like the system are probably some of the most technically advanced operators around this forum so of course they can use it effectively.
