What can we do with fats and lipids?

What can we do with these refined fats and lipids? Are they healthy for us to consume? Do you guys want soap bars that smell like strains?

I wonder what that would be like in a citrus rub

Have you thought about using it in topicals?

Have you already tried saponification with NaOH, KOH, MgO or CaOH2? would be interesting to know what texture it comes out to with each base.

I haven’t yet making soaps is new to me but I have been watching YouTube videos and I’m just about ready to give it a shot. I have a bunch of bho cbd oil as well I can infuse. I’m also thinking of adding carbon or bentonite clays in the mix to give it an additional exfoliating perk.

Just melt it with some KOH or even K2CO3 - have to add more base gradually until pH is starting to increase past 7 if you don’t know the molecular weight.

edit: that’ll be tree fiddy for consultation @Waxplug1

Epoxidize them

What’s that?

Epoxidized oils are used in plastic production (both biodegradable and not). Oxirane structure forms on unsaturated alkenes. Each double bond on the unsaturated carbon chain is a site to be attacked.
