You won’t get any terps that smell like actual hte even cannabis terps will be missing a few things that get lost through distillation. If you’re trying to get something that’s exactly like HTE in steam stilled terps They’ll never be exactly the same so I’d stop, but I’d have to disagree with you about terpenescali Atleast for the strains I bought they’re exactly like the bags if I were to buy some bud. Also don’t go buy the smell you have to actually make carts and try them they taste totally better than they smell

By the way got some terps from @Betroit probably the best Canna terps around don’t get me wrong I like @terpenescali very much as well but these oG kush terps from betroit oh man got me feelin like it’s 2012 getting that gas og

Yeah i tried the carts before smelling because i didn’t homegenize them someone else did, both smell and taste are rancid, however the betroit terpenesraw are exactly as expected and are fire, i guess i got the short end of the stick with terpenecali but 5/5 were unpalatable.

Because in your picture I saw you had animal mints and the runtz terps which I have both of and their taste is just like going to the store and buy runtz at the dispo They’re both very noticable unless terpenescali messed up somehow , just surprised because I haven’t had issues but anything can happen I Guess

Yes @terpenescali and @Betroit both have great canna derived terps NOT HEMP derived. I made this thread because I was new once and it was hard to find terpene companies Atleast decent ones that have strong uncut terps wether it be botanical or cannabis derived or hemp derived and ones that were straight forward that tell you this is cannabis derived. If you google cannabis derived terpenes it’s almost impossible to find sites that sell it without it sending you to botanicals sites

Also strains may vary person to person just like when you buy a certain kind of bud from different people but you can smell the strains from both vendors and also some that have that similar smell that is not desirable don’t judge it till you make it into cars and try it. A lot of terps won’t smell good out of the bottle but taste way better and different when smoked @terpenescali and @Betroit are one of the few vendors with actual canna terps and not playing on the technicality of some companies that say they’re cannabis derived and try to say hemp is cannabis. There is a clear distinction and companies know that but call canna derived terps knowing people will react different than if they were to say they’re hemp derived not to mention they try to charge more like 30-50$ per ml on hemp terps which is nonsense as qma says it’s highway robbery hemp terps should not be more than 10-15$ per ml Also wanted to mention www.clearnation.com also has fire cannabis terps but charge more than anyone else. And @kenzyme for fire hemp terps

I also wanted to mention for hemp terps terpene belt farms has super fire hemp terps but their prices are up there . Their site doesn’t mention that they’re hemp upfront but if you look you’ll find them state that it’s from hemp grown under the farm bill. Their packaging when recieved states hemp as well. But www.fatdogcbd.com is super fire hemp terps as well.

@terpenescali are absolute trash. I did the homogenizing Griffin was referring to, I own the company so I have nothing but hope for the samples I buy to work, I’ve mixed carts for four companies at this point including my own. I’m searching for a reliable brand that has cannabis derived for a side company I’m starting because we just upgraded to a LS 5L G3-X SPD, which is an absolute beast of a unit.
I bought 5 samples from @terpenescali and 3 samples from terpenesraw. So I’ll actually explain my entire interaction with BOTH companies as I have the receipts, bottles, and e-mail chain to back all of this up.
I asked each company for a phone call because I wanted to ask some specific questions. TerpenesRaw called me and I got the guy who owns it, he explained what he does, why it’s as expensive as it is and what we can do down the road. It was a great interaction and I ordered right away. @terpenescali calls and and it’s a nice sounding woman, I ask her the first question “are they cannabis derived?” and she informed she will have the owner call me because she only does the billing side of things. Never got a call but the OP of this thread said some good things and they had some strains I liked so I ordered 5 strains.
@terpenescali package arrives and I immediately take it to the back lab, separate 2g of 90% distillate into small low form beakers, using separate syringes I drew from each bottle and mixed roughly 6-8% for each sample. Each one was more disgusting than the next. That led me to actually opening the bottle of terps, they smelled exactly like they tasted. They smelled like old raw hemp.
I e-mailed them and asked if there was a return protocol or a way to get these swapped for fresher samples- giving it an opportunity for it to be a mistake. Even complemented the color but did not beat around the bush about the taste. Their e-mail on 7.12.21 was “No worries we don’t need to be bouncing these around the country. Just Throw them away.” That was the last communication I got from them so from a business perspective I just have to write it off as a loss and continue my search for a company that doesn’t sell donkey piss in vials.
TerpenesRaw I’m actually mixing tomorrow, but we opened up the bottles FIRST this time and each one smelled really great so we’re quite excited. I’ll be ordering the Ultra blends likely next week as he spoke incredibly high of them.

Such a strange time we live in where people prefer steam still hemp terps with added isolates and added fruity ethyl esters over ones pulled from actual weed.

I have tried about 6-8 strains. I actually just mixed up a personal cart made from decarbed diamonds and jelly pie terps that were centrifuged off the diamonds and added 1-2% cereal milk botanical terps from MT and its def one of my fav concoctions. Also his CS is top notch.

3-4% mass terps and 1% hemp terps is pretty hard to beat aside from CDT or HTE
They sometimes do take long to respond even for me and I hadn’t purchased anything from them yet when this happen. Yea maybe they’re off this batch because I ordered the same strains as you and all were phenomenal but it can happen , maybe it was a accidental thing I don’t know. I read a lot of reviews of @terpenescali before I even made a purchase myself. There are better terps out there if willing to pay more most def.
You won’t ever be disappointed with terpenes raw I know what you mean when you say you smell right when you open the bottle. Some terps have that steam grass smell tho until you actually mix and taste it through a cart.
