Findings yet? Im very interested, as opposed to paper filtration i currently employ
For running the filters after punching some out out a circle cutter? I havenāt gotten to try that yet. Two more weeks to harvest, then Iāll find out shortly after that. Iāll let everyone know how that goes.
But as far as using it in general, the felt filter is amazing. Iād definitely pick up a couple of sheets!
wish i could find a roll of propack. ive asked and they only wanna sell it in pieces for use as column packing, but have the feeling all that capillary SS316 surface could be handy for some other separation science activities.
Try hitting up companies that supply brewers and distillers. Iāve been finding a lot of really affordable prepacked reflux columns and packing material for them.
if you find rolls of propack or somesorta SS316 with those nice lil capillary action enhancing pinhole punches, shoot me a link, ill share my test results (not using for filtration). Ive looked everywhere off and on for a few yrs with no luck
Talked to Chris at Cannon about Pro-Pak. They were open to discussing options for uncut rolls or sheets of Pro-Pak for what its worth.
Ill hit him up, its been 2 yrs since I last talked to em. Thx for the tip!
This company already supplies a micropore 24x48" SS sheets: http://www.mkicorp.com/p-mpp.asp
Hmm a liner for a panda be Nice
so, you use that stuff instead of butane to get those clear slabs?
plz nobody do this
Any results using felt?
It say s CRC it s got to be good
Felt works great. Just have extra steel filtration under to catch any fibers
I have had great results so far!
I personally donāt use any sintered filters as of now, and havenāt had issues.
The one thing I have not tried, yet, is using the punched discs over rolls of the felt. Iāll be doing that probably within the next couple of weeks.
I have been very pleased with the felt!
Good to hear, Im looking to use specifically in dewaxing filter stack, I have 4 stages plus ss wool, and a few bb, finishing up reconfiguring , Iād think staging felts instead of papers, could be worth a shot
How would you rate it vs. Qualitative paper?
Killing qualitative papers for sure. Better flow and holds alot back
