Sauce / live resin carts

Thanks for posting that one. 15% terps sounds yummy

It was gorilla glue, so meh. For me at least, I’m not a fan

And if they start having more than 9-10% terpene percentage, they get too thin and clog the carts too easily.

I am familiar with that tech but what I have failed to mention is the fresh frozen we are running isn’t the best material for terps as well as we are on time restrictions, we simply do not have the time to grow diamonds and pour them off.

You can sugar something out in less than 24hrs…

Doesn’t matter if it’s diamonds or sugar. All separates.

And fire in fire out. If it’s not the best material I would crash, spin off junk terps and save your thca to decarb for when you have some decent hte to mix it with.

Just my opinion though.

Thank you for you’re input!

Needs to be high terp fresh frozen flower.
Turn the extract into diamonds/sauce, separate (filter or centrifuge)
purge down the sauce fraction in a vac oven using parameters you normally would for fresh frozen
sauce should be 50% THCA if you’ve done the separation correctly. If the diamonds procedure didn’t work too well, I would try to hit 50% decarb or else the THCA in the sauce will start to crash. Then load into carts.

Sorry I can’t be more specific!

Wow @floridasnatural you asked everyone but the person with the most experience on this subject :man_facepalming:t2:

Under appropriate conditions, analytical data shows no change to terp profile at this temperature.

Just a heads up.

Would love to see the data and hear more…

Just the popcorn taste

HUH? 200F under what conditions leaves the same terp profile?

Seeing as some of the dankest chemicals in the plant will evaporate just over 100F, I’m going to say that’s not entirely accurate. Actual terpenes, right, those aren’t going too far at 200 degrees.

The more important (stronger) volatile compounds will still suffer but that’s the price to be paid for putting something in a cart. Most of those left with your butane anyway so what little is left disappears during a decarb.

under the conditions that your mono and sesqui terps are already gone before heating. Lol.

Well I’m unable to share the data or specific parameters. Although we all know pressure affects boiling points, neutral conditions help prevent isomerization, and inert atmosphere prevents oxidation.

Y’all do the math :man_shrugging:

Cold crash the thca and pour off the mother liquor. Wam bam

Shhh I was gonna charge him 500 for that

In my best Boston accent

Partial decarb khed… use the vac oven khed

If there is no thc-a it’s just a fancy distillate cart.

That looks great @vortal

If I’m paying someone 500 it’s going to be for more than a live sauce teq. But as y’all can probably guess I am a young kid just trying to learn pretty new to the extraction side of the industry( 6months) thanks for all the input and opinions. We are all trying to learn!
