Vac and heat is needed after separation has finished
Wow its crazy to see people on this site were referring to me years ago. I didnt think I was doing any thing unique⌠just reading what I could here to learn as much as I could. And pointing people back to f4200 on reddit. Lol.. Full circle.
Everything i know is from pangeaâs first appearance on hash church, and the phase solubility diagram he shared later, locked that in. Only The Strong sauce tek - #74 by pangea
If you have any questions please ask but Im guessing everyone figured out everything I know in the last 2 years⌠I like to make things as simple as possible so nothing crazy to it. No pressurized ovens, no etched glass. Also, because I suck at the OTSCC tech⌠just good cold weed, cold solvent, plenty of propane (I like 50%+)
For legal markets 1g containers Im not trying to grow huge rocks so I just use pyrex dishes and they work great.
If you have good high terpene material you dont need solvent left behind, or pressure to grow small formations⌠I recover all I can but turn heat down near the end of the run before pouring out. Just thin enough to make it through the sauce server wand without too much loss. I skip all cold crashing steps and squirt into a pyrex dish⌠I like the 11 cup dishes with the red lids for .5-1.5kg batches. Depth of mother liquor matters.

nearly 2 yrs ago⌠I try to recover around here or a hair more these days. Further without the sauce server.
You can stretch a piece of Oil Slick PTFE film on top and then put the red lid on. Some were talking about saran wrap previously. Sure as long as you dont let it inflate and deflate⌠hate when the saran wrap dips into the oil. I prefer ptfe. set in an oven at low temperature and wait. If nothing happens try warmer temp ~5F increments. Iâve tried the smaller snap lid dishes and only like them with a ptfe sandwich. The silicone or other seal gets messed up by the terpenes or solvent evaporating.

@pangea is so awesome. I remember when he had his first formations over at icmag. Those were the daysâŚ
I was lucky enough to be on Bubblemanâs hash church episode 72 to talk about vaporizers. I had retired from an amateur stint at canned butane extraction around 2014/15? Had no idea who pangea was and hadnât been on icmag much for the last year. I did my thing and showed some products and sat around and got high, and then pangea came on at around 1hr 45min and blew my mind.
About one minute after he started talking is when I realized how badly I wanted to get back into hydrocarbon extraction.
I remember that too @SamuraiSam. I caught a bunch of feels watching you, listening. I could tell it got u excited. And look now, beautiful!
great post. a lot of important info here.
Iâm interested in feedback from people about how much terp has worked for straight terpene (is mostly purged) diamond growth. Obviously the answer is if you have a shitload of terps, they will act like residual extraction solvent by slowly purging out and allowing the slow supersaturation that grows rocks. But Iâd like to see if anyone would share any kind of data about terp% to solvent% at pour off for good results.
@SamuraiSam good to see u made it
I never even seen ur post ![]()

Would one of these work? And would the covers work?
Yes, I would stretch PTFE over the top before putting the lid on like @SamuraiSam suggested.
I like the little 3 cups for diamonds.

Like oilslick ptfe parchment?
Yes, it will protect the lid and give a better seal.
Definitely giving this a try. Thank you.
Saran wrap press and seal works just fine. No need to spend too much money on ptfe
Saran Wrap works, parchment works as well.
I been getting the ones at target with the snap on lid. Slightly cheaper than pyrex
Yeah as long as itâs borosilicate it doesnât need to be pyrex brand. No soda lime.
