Your pressure gauge is starting to have a deviation of the real pressure
This might not be a problem at all
BUT it might change in a bigger deviation with higher pressures so watch for that

Can nitrogen be used to charge my Butane tank, bring the PSI up to 45 or 50 psi, up from the 12 psi that Butane typically has at 70F?

Where are you getting mercaptan free butane?

Have you read of their removal?

Yes. You can use N2 to enable solvent injection.

Then you need to figure out how/when to vent it.
