Only The Strong sauce tek

I just use these. I am pretty sure the lids start to buckle around 15psi. My next run is not for about 2 weeks so will try it then.

Exactly better than $20 per lid.

I saw these also so they can be adjusted.

Control Devices CR Series Brass Pressure Relief Valve, 0-100 psi Adjustable Pressure Range, 1/4" Male NPT https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007GDY3CU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0hSmCb0XKBQ75

Please read the 1st 2 reviews. For adjustable I would add a T and a gauge so you know what the pressure is but the 1st review states when the valve opens under low pressure it doesn’t close until it lets all the air out. If that’s the case it will not work well for our application. Not sure why anyone would need adjustable pressure. Maybe someone can enlighten me but I have yet to see any evidence that higher pressure makes a difference.

What size stones are u getting? Average? And largest with the low pressure?

Are you looking for perfect for $10?

Pretty sure pressure correlates with saturation level, which correlates with growth rates, and as you get growth saturation level changes so having an adjustable valve could play a role in automating the growth… I personally haven’t needed a relief valve, but it could have saved that one jar so… theres that…

A little fancier.

We are all probably gonna die from the plastisol lining used on the jar lids anyways, but maybe not…
I had to change my Google search a few times to get the results I was looking for, ended up at the same site as you though.

Id like to try doubling the lid like this, when i go to do a sauce run, i think i helps prevent it from bursting out. Yet you have a higher likelihood of the glass jar itself bursting.(ive never had that happen), neat little trick :beers:

Here’s a 3 day crystallization. on this run, i used that old multi run recovery method i posted ahwile back. Im happy this mistake brought out a neat little treasure, whenever i was running material that wasn’t heavy on the thc-a

I just had a crazy ass thought. What if you use this https://m.ebay.com/itm/inlet-adapter-24-29-straight-PTFE-plug-glass-valve-vacuum-adapter/151087317690?_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1

With a reaction jar that has a couple 24/29 opening and cork off one of the openings or if you can find one with one 24/29 opening and use an inlet for a release valve.

the small seed diamond is slowly melting, should i evaporate more out or leave cap sealed?

I order a canning jar to 1/2npt that is a stainless lid and stainless band! Using a t fitting with a 20psi pressure relief valve and gauge! Parts should be here in a couple days! I’ll post pix!

That probably isn’t raited for pressure. You’d be better off with a stainless vessel.
