Just hope we get a decent amount of THC but with 150g of starting material it’s not looking good , will have to look into different extraction techniques to get better yeilds

Just ground up buds mate , 150 g max of cleaned RSO that needs to go through the SPD , just back with the dry ice so will commencing a dry run soon
Unsure wether it’s good or bad the end amount of THC is the most important bit so see how it goes
Just starting a dry run with brand new setup , managed to get the pump.down to 56 micron with mins of it being connected directly to guage ,
So sorted the cold trap and now to evacuate system
No readings whatsoever so I’m presuming that indicates a big leak somewhere or do we need to the pump run for a while before adjusting joints etc ? Any help much appreciated x
They make a table top distimmer made just for alcohol. Your water distiller runs way too hot for solvents.
I actually have one collecting dust if your interested. Temp dial adjustment, specific for ethanol.

Sound mate , so as a starting point where do ye think we should be in microns
Like I mentioned, blank it off 1st and see what she pulls.
Then start from the pump and check every joint from the pump to the bf.
I love using distillate now on the joints.

Nothing on summit sop as well as all the other stuff I’ve read , I’m guessing 300 , maybe I’ve read that at some point
300 micron on a dry run is good.

Ok so after chasing leaks all afternoon the thermocouples being the obvious culprits the BF is loaded and where running at 375 micron , will follow the notes I’ve got and hopefully the first run will go well
