Kitchenaid mixers.
When do you apply the Certicoat my man? Right into the molds and on the back of the bears as soon as they’re solid enough? Maybe 24 hrs or so after the initial cooling?
Hey Gooch, you just spray the backs of the bars after 24 hrs or so?
I got Dark City Molds and they’re fuckin’ killer
8 Months! Whats the longest shelf life you’ve been able to achieve since then??
Honestly that is no longer a concern
But waxing is your quest!
Could I just melt some carnauba wax into an MCT carrier and spray some on my gummies?
Ill post about how it goes
That’s a cool idea. I’m sure it would work if you can Hamaginize MCT and the wax. But you would be left with a very inconsistent product.
Yeah I’m gonna snag some wax and see how it works. I have some PG here too maybe one of them will be able to emulsify them. I have a sonicating hot-bath too that might help with that.
100% game changer. @darkcitymolds with that rose platinum silicon.
Appreciate the love @YYCMMJ. Glad they’re working out for you!
Just emailed you about a gelatin based recipe
sure there is…
do the math, then use a scale and weigh each piece of candy before ingestion
assuming 90% distillate, you’ve got 9000mg in 454g => about 20mg/g
was that based on taste?
or your appetite for hard candy?
For sure. I can calculate it myself but I was speaking from a commercial standpoint. Not everyone else has a scale and would probably just rather eat gummies that are all the same from one piece to another.
Less distillate would provide better taste. Personally I’d rather choke down a little bit of distillate and get my fix vs eating a whole bag of candy.
Impatiently waiting for my re-supply of distillate to arrive so I can have another go at some batches I got more molds and a bigger drying rack so I can do twice as many this time.
I was simply stating based on taste. i don’t know how large him gummies are (3g, 5g?), but I don’t typically notice any bitter taste in mine with around 10mg-20mg/piece.
Idk, mine taste pretty damn good @60mg a piece🤪
You can say that again. Cool mold!
