Need gummy recipe (recipe inside)

ya, corn starch on your fingertips, when removing, will cause less sticking of sugar.

on those… lay gummies on tray, wrap in cling wrap, allow them to ‘melt’ a tiny bit (couple days somewhere warm), then re coat.

i bloom in small bowl for 30 min, or longer depending on size of batch, then add to sous vide until 100% melted.

i have now started to mass make the gelatin one day. makes it much simpler on gummy making day.

i will bloom all them, add to bag, sous vide til totally clear. remove, lay flat and cool, place in fridge til required.

i have so far kept them in a fridge environment for 2 weeks with no problems or difference in the end product.

takes about 20 min to remelt the fridge gelatin in 146 water bath.

literally toss gummys in a bowl with sugar, i don’t use heat for this, the tackiness of the gummies allows good adhesion. i have only made sugar coated gummies, but can see the massive benefit in a panner for wax coated ones.

Thanks! I’ll be more careful next time. These were just a test of the recipe so they’re gonna get eaten once I see how they do for a few days.

Yea, I was referring to waxing them.

Where can one get Certicoat? I’ve been looking but nothing smh?

Direct from Mantrose.

Yeah I tried them they never replied to the email I’ve been trying to look for caranuba wax/ beeswax recipes but nothing thanks for the quick reply

Try calling. Brendan is the sales director who I spoke with. Use a business name.

We saw hairbo use a 2% caranuba wax mixture, so we used 98% MCT oil for the other portion. It seems to work well, we only put on the mold and on the back side of our gummy bears.

This is the “real” batch lol. Made them 66.6mg each (approx of course) so I’m calling them the Devil’s Lego. The flavour on these is Strawberry and Guava

What company molds are you using?

I just got these at the craft-store. Bricks Silicone Candy Mold by Celebrate It® | Molds | Michaels

It was a little annoying releasing the candies with the little top-nipples, though. You wanna make sure your gel is fully firmed or they’ll rip off, lol.

Can anyone chime in on how they store their made gelatin? Does it need to be refrigerated?

I haven’t tried to pre-make the bloomed gelatin, but I would imagine once it’s hydrated you want it in the fridge. It’s an animal product after all.

Whats the best hotplate/pot combo for making big batches?

Oh and next time I’m gonna get some distillate without flavor terps, cause that shit’s pretty intense in an edible, lol. These kinda taste like carrots on top of the slight bitter distillate taste. it’s good in my carts, though.

What can I use other than corn syrup? I’m trying to make sugar free edibles

Lycasin.

Wouldn’t recommend it for taste, but sugar free gummy bear makers can’t be beggars.

Sorbitol can be added too.

Yeah cause somehow my gummy bears are hard When I dehydrate them but when I put them in the package they get soft and melt so I was thinking maybe just adding the certicoat you said to make them firm and not melt but I really wouldn’t know I am new to this and the gummy business
