Lmfao.
We have over 150 employees across CA employed through clients sites.
Over 80 of them are under $24/hr.
Enjoy dell taco benefits lmfao.
And work conditions, I hear their grease exhaust systems work really well lol.
Also stated if you have knowledge greater than asked there is higher pay avail.
All I’ve ever wanted in my adult life was to work at a legal facility. This is the first option, one of 5 allowed medical facilities in the state, completely seed to sale in the same facility. I applied last year, all they could offer at the time was Thursday-Sunday 10 hour days packaging for $18 an hour. They have a very high turn over as well. These rates are well below a living wage for the area ($23/h for a single adult). They require a BS in science for anything related to extraction and they still don’t pay $25/h.
Worst thing, this is the best legal option is the state right now. The other 4 medical facilities are in much more rural locations and pay even less, like $12/h for some positions.
Where the good jobs at?
Valve turner isn’t a good job
Learn:
Management, compliance, lean six sigma, sales, marketing, project coordination etc
That plus valve turning/extractio is the good jobs in a few states that aren’t the shit ones
Bro why are you such a dick to someone offering jobs to the people here
Go fuck right off and same to the dumb fucks that liked your post. lmao dah-hurrrr
Its cannabis. Scores of people, typically young people, will do these jobs for low pay? Why? Because social clout is the currency in this industry. People will take these jobs for low and benefits because they can clout post on instagram, maybe get the attention of girls (or guys), and in 6-12 months they’re out. That’s why you see MFers posting pics of mason jars and hotdog water on IG. What other industry do people feel the need to post their work on IG? Did not see this behavior in other industries. It’s all for clout bro. Its really about who you know and who your friends are. It is no problem finding another valve turner, they’re a dime a dozen. Basic supply and demand. Better paying jobs are on the management side, but even fewer of those jobs available.
Starting to see that, why I posted the Jushi job adds. I have 15 years in commercial horticulture, logistics coordination and customer service. Grading, concrete construction, greenhouses, basic irrigation. Extraction carts and edibles have been my hobby, but I think cultivation is my strong suite.
My big dream is to own a mountain top, sell boutique grade flower and single source extracts carts and edibles. A pipe dream but still dreaming. The proposed licensing structure for Virginia won’t allow that type of operation anyways. Now I’m moving to Texas where there is hardly a medical program and east Texas is pretty flat lol.
With all that construction experience you should be building out facilities. Or better yet pick an area Inside a facility buildout and be the expert at it. If your good at hvac then go consult grows/labs on it. If your better at electrical go that route. More on concrete or framing then focus on that. All the contractors (construction, hvac, electrical and plumbing all make a killing from our business).
There is also a massive demand for these skills outside of cannabis.
The money in cannabis is at the director/vp level. But to get there you need to have more then just being an expert at your craft. You need to know how to manage people, inspire them, understand how to build culture, and understand how the numbers work. Be an expert with spreadsheets (query’s, iferrors, pivot tables, import ranges, ect.). Most people say they are good with spreadsheets but then don’t have a clue what these things are. Also go take 6 sigma classes. You can spend 75$ and get certified all the way to black belt. Go do some accountability training. How do you lead? (Okr’s , kpi’s, eos, lean, ect).
All of these things can also be learned on YouTube or through linked in course for free.
This guy fucks
You needed to edit this piece of shit low effort post? Like are you dumb dumb?
10 years of chemistry to sound like a fucking toddler?
They have something here for that
I have much greater skills than listed
How much are you paying me in CA where whatever you offer it’s really only 55% of that when adjusted for cost of living?
It’s crazy how “young” people can be like that.
Some of us young folk, like myself, actually do this for the benefit of those of us who benefit from it medically.
I swore to myself that I will only quit working with cannabis the day I absolutely see no medical beneficiaries coming out of it.
Yeah no cannabis for you, go back to construction itll pay better anyway. I left it in 08 when it crashed and too tore up to go back but it would be on my list if i was looking for a job
You don’t know that many Chefs, do you? Or bartenders, or gunsmiths, or welders, pipe fitters. I could go on, but anyway.
plumbers, electricians, landscapers, hardscapers, hell my ig has more construction porn then cannabis now. Dont get me started on the food porn.
A lot of professions are definitely posting on IG nowadays, it’s just another vector to reach a new audience. A lot of the business instas I follow post pretty regularly and are mostly just trying to keep people updated on inventory and drops to stores (beer, weed, lab equipment, cooking recipes, etc etc) it’s just basic marketing at this point.
But, I do agree with Ion that there’s a lot more meat-swinging, at least to my perception, in the cannabis industry. At least with extractors. A lot of the people I’ve met in extraction have been extremely conceited and close-minded, but maybe that’s just me.
Could just be because the industry is so small, its easier to notice things like that. We’re all pretty well connected with each other.
Ive met more watiers/waitresses/dancers with 4-6year degrees than I care to acknowledge. If you havent monetized your online presence, that is on you.
What about strippers with 13 yr olds?
Or 13 year old strippers with kids.
