Indofabs C.R.C & BHO Color Remediation Tek

Thats good, I won’t have to get it so hot. Even though after flushing into the collection that would make recovery easy.

It’s all in how its used.was your test done in ethanol?

Dry, ethanol, heptane, IPA, acetone and methanol. Its quite literally the same product as the T5 we sell for filtration. @waxplug

But, in theory. If I transfer to a second chamber after dewax and warm the solution to room temp. 75-85 through the jacket (jacketed chamber, same size as my dewax. Then, flush through media, should give me better result over flushing directly in line and cold? Or should I have the alloted amount of clay in chamber allowing resonance time, then flush and filter. I also feel the warmer solution would flow better.

Do both please. Warm and cold filtrations have different capability and the only way to know, with butane at least, is to try/test/compare. @Dred_pirate

I will try all the above. Today is my Friday, so next week I’ll give that a try. I have to get it all bolted together so it’ll work, but I have better hopes with this. I want to pass it warm, too for a standard run hopefully to get ride of color and keep some stability for trim runs. As many still want shatter, especially if it has little to no color

Just wondering how the clear color holds up over time when exposed to ambient conditions that can cause oxidation of some components in mixture. We notice discoloration in distillates after exposure to ambient. Ie. “Red Ring of death” . (I understand that bho has not endured near the amount of heat/process history as a distillate.)

@CollectiveObjective The extract still has terpenes in it and there are a lot of terpenes that have antioxidant activity.

So an extract made by this method is probably pretty resistant to oxidation, or at least more so than distillate.

Made this using only celite and b80

I noticed the clay is more effective if I put it in my vac and heat it for a few hrs prior to use

I had that happen to my collection over night. The clear sauce that I posted. The collection the next morning was yellowish. Compared to the whole run has zero. But my scrapings after whipping are white

And, honestly. You’re the one I’m trying to mimic with this. I like your approach to the whole situation. I enjoyed being sent down rabbit holes

Winterize, celite, clay, then celite again, pass through cake a second time for extra effect…and no prob now that were all on the same level I feel more comfortable opening up

Since your sharing now, I’ve gotta know what that green stuff was inside your buchner way back at the start of the thread.

Used clay

It started a light tan…I’m guessing it’s the chlorophyl
