I would love to edit old posts.
I think once you reach a certain level you should be able to remove or edit old posts or delete threads you start
The inability to do so has prevented me from posting a lot of stuff. I wonder how much the forum misses out on?

Did that work? Maybe it’s just mods and not trust levels that can make it happen? Has anyone tried to make a DM addressed to the trust lvl 3 or 4?

There’s been some posts I’ve wanted to delete and I’m sure not being able to delete posts keeps people from putting info out there, but it’s the best way to keep the forum free and open and a historical record. As far as I can see

In my case specifically I have a new job and don’t care to have posts supporting old job. Why can’t I delete those here like I can the other 4 places I posted them? What makes this site different so I can’t?
I really don’t post much anymore because of it.

All posts can be typed in notepad then screenshotted and uploaded to a pic hosting site with an auto deletion date of 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week etc
Then share the image as a text post
This is a inconvenient work around but I’ve done it for some stuff I don’t want around forever that I wouldn’t be able to edit

I’m really for being able to call in all of a trust level. Like 2 and 3 for community votes, and community actions. (Which could really just be done by a level 4 if their were asked to do it by a level3.) Being able to go and edit bad/wrong info after the 24-48 hours would be nice, but again I guess it’s something a level 4 could do if they were asked (Can they? I don’t know).
There’s been more than a couple of times that I had posted the wrong info, and wasn’t able to change it to reflect the proper info after finding out I was wrong. However, alot of times that bad info will get buried at whatever part of the post it’s in, and the proper info will be reflected further down post. I guess level4’s could change it for us if requested, but it would make some more work for them.

Asking for permission to edit my posts has dropped the post quality from this account tremendously. Most info, ill just keep to myself to not have to deal with it in the future. This place has only gotten drama from me lately, and its too bad because I have some videos to add to some old posts

THIS IS A VOLENTEER JOB. Id imagine i do the most arguing out of the lvl 4s. Id also imagine since being elected a moderator… Ive moved and cut up more posts than any moderator as im here more than all of them…
When you guys start paying for these services… Ill start making them a priority in my list of things to do for the day… My entertainment comes before free work every day of the week… If you wanna pay me to not be entertained… Ill take my lvl 4 duties like a paid job! until then… enjoy the free services i provide…

Not for @sidco and @Future. This site is 100% what makes them relevant. So if I contribute to someone’s relevance, I demand the least bit of control over my contribution.
I was thinking more of sidco defending nazis and future arguing about weird wook politics but ok. Sure you are helpful with splitting, but I want my own editing privileges over my own posts so I don’t have to ask mom every time I change my mind.
