I have ppl like comments I made my first month here which was completely wrong just by chance was working… wasn’t repeating results or bad info
And we need UNLIMITED likes …also I think if we might should be able to delete a new user post if it involved dangerous stuff or highlight it as dangerous
Might even add a level 3 Trustees for a number ppl to help moderate when the others can’t bc they tons threads
And we need pinned threads that never move

Many other sites on the web (mainly image boards and other anon type forums) don’t allow you to remove or edit information. By all means if you need to correct something you should make a post saying why you were wrong, and then post the correct info. Simply changing the post to make yourself look like you were never wrong or that you had a different line of thinking ONLY serves the virtue of the user who made the mistake. Mistakes happen, people DO change their minds, that doesn’t mean what actually happened (the user being stupid, calling people names, acting like a child) never took place and should be hidden as such.
correct. If someone wipes their whole history, especially if they are a contributor, then the entire thread is often lost with it. Yeah sure, users could click the pencil icon, but issues still happen like not being able to search…
This is about the only valid argument I hear. If you cant handle feedback from the internet, or post something half assed or otherwise something you might delete later, than I would much rather you never post it in the first place. That idea probably needs to be honed. The flags I see from the past that people wanna remove is basically all name calling and business flaming kinda stuff anyways.

That is one way to look at it. Can you imagine if we let a poll decide everything? It would be absolute chaos. Just admins and mods can tag TL3 (95 people). I am open to maybe allowing lvl4s to tag lvl3s but can think of a good use case. None were mentioned here other than a rally to vote. It would get extremely annoying to get tagged in a bunch of stuff you dont really care about, hence why its disabled by default except mods and admins.

NOPE! I went and made videos of Disassembly and Maintenance. Replacing the "bad precedent " with a video. Did you see the other posts I flagged? Not even shill posts, just shitty vague descriptions. All to be replaced. If I could edit these posts MYSELF, I could place my videos and eliminate calls for products I wasn’t selling. My time is valuable too.
