Hello friend! Have you give regulars more rights?

I’m not for deleting any posts unless it’s personal info. Editing however, I think is totally fine for any period of time, as long as the edits are public.

Being able to amend posts is a good thing, but being able to just delete anything you want is a no go imo

What’s the mechanism on the forum for this? Purely moderator based?

If it’s me announcing whomst I work for it wouldn’t take much to get my ssi and home address etc

The inability to remove personal info myself and to be told to kick rocks when I request it to be deleted puts me in jeopardy

I don’t understand this and it worries me and should worry others.

I need an explanation as to why I can’t have self-doxing info removed.

I wonder, is there any feature that can temporarily hide a message and it’s edits until approved by a mod.

Maybe something like that could prevent doxxing info from being visible until it’s dealt with?

Ya, pretty weird they wouldn’t remove that…

Maybe sending them dick pics would help…

You can probably request it removed in dm better than here I bet. Just may not get a fast reply like here.

Since we know the pictures of buttholes didn’t work, try dicks?

community flag based, aka level 3

We can always move the full thread into the Toking lounge, temporarily.

Have a better Sunday.

They already told me to fuck myself and make a new account

So now we are here asking for the ability to do it ourselves where we were also met with a go fuck your self.

It’s frustrating and will lead to users not sharing as much

a more litigious member here has already suggested suing sidco or future to have things related to my case removed, but that’s not really my cup of tea

As I’ve expressed. Right to delete is a huge issue.
You able to find Steve?

all Steve’s dox are still very publicly available on here, I don’t want to reach out to anyone like that without counsel involved though

Yikes I was unaware. Yeah, because this is small potatoes in comparison to major platforms the legal battle would heavily be out of pocket dealing with this entity.

Google cache and archive websites also make this a moot point imo.

I think it’s in the forum’s/public’s best interest to archive/wiki the informational stuff and allow that to be edited by admins with a revision history, but it’d be nice to be able to delete old shitposts(and for some things to just be forgotten in general)

GDPR and some of our European counterparts may be problematic as well

100%. If you know where to look. The whole dox is still there. It’s very hard to find unless you know where to look.

At least you got some referrals and are handling your battles. I’m rooting for you dude. If the lead doesn’t pull through I’ll contact my guys and apply urgency

This all began because of a user deleting content and breaking threads? Couldn’t you just:

-Allow edits forever

-Have search queries check all versions of posts

-Within search results, do something to note if a result is not the most recent version of a post. Same with all links to the post

It wouldn’t be hard for a pro to implement

Agreed, but worth the effort to reward if custom programming is required versus having the userbase adapt to what they’re given is another part of this.

Not everything is a button away.
