Need a hexane washing fuge bruh
I mean mine can do itā¦coverting from Etoh to hex that simple? Iām considering all options
negative ETOH and Hexane have different material incompatibilities
You need to check every seal and material that the solvent in question will come into contact with

I ran without dewaxing (winterizing) my very first SPD run. The end result was ok, but I had to burn through so many extra nasty fractions it was a waste of energy, and the smells were horrible. Now I winterize at least 3 times in cryo, or until nothing else precipitates. It has increased my quality and efficiency through first pass 1000%.

I been winterizing once really good really cold but I think I got pretty clean material thc first pass was stink free and absolutely gets me high afā¦
Have you tried substituting the winterizing for liquid liquid extraction?

You need to preheat oven to 250 n then turn it off and bake the remaining water out of your starting material on a foil lined cookie sheet in a small new toaster oven, the hexane will pull less water and bs with the hexane wash, makes my winterizing almost seem pointless there is so lil crap in it. Also why I wanted to try room temp methonal winterize and 220grit aluminum oxide filter bed over celite545 sick of messing with so much D Ice and time for shit to precipitate.

Yeah I know itās the D. Gold. book from the 70ās method lol, doesnāt mean it donāt give me great results if used properly, Iām too old school, lol

Youāll need to run it hotter than usual, but yeah you can clearly see the fats getting push over the drop off when you run it 10-20C over norm. I havenāt been able to get it all out with one run, Iād usually get alittle to fall into the recieving flask during the first run, making it alittle hazy when chilled. (I fortunately dont get the chance to run unwinterized often and havent in awhile) I believe it can be done with one pass, especially if you had a jacketed swing arm

And the fats in my case became like needels in the solution
But even after second it had a fishy smell to it
Ya i can be done you have to be very careful as to not get alot of disty to pass the drop off. I use another T with a flask after my drop and keep ot all heads, etc and then wayer wash it once it get to being multiple liters. I always winterize or like rogue said winterize the 1st pass.
Have you tried supersaturated KOH?
