Pretty late to the convo but i think its worth pointing out black market extractors can get paid $1,000 a day easy. If they have a system that can produce several pounds of end product a day that kind of pay is definitely justified.
I think legal extractors have to take into account their illicit competition. Granted a lot of people want stability and paper trail of a real job, imagine being faced with $20/hr or $1k a day…

The best weed is illegal and will be like that for a long time to come. Quality craft cannabis just cant exist in an over regulated, highly taxed commercial market. Theres no money to be made in growing good legal weed, only money in growing a lot of it cheaply. Probably the same for extracts. Which is why legal employers really need to compare themselves to the traditional market, especially when its financially dominating the entire industry.
Are the best extractors going to go to a legal company that wont be profitable for another few years or are they going to make as much money as possible tax free in the black market? Hmmm

im coming around to the possibility that ectracting is unskilled labor. But the company has to buy a machine that costs millions for it to happen but it happens in all industries. If you have to be actively running the thing or even in charge of it you should be well paid. If you just pack a tube and sit there and the oil comes out then its not skilled.

Eh. Bucking, bagging, and packaging maybe “unskilled” labor but I’d say the majority of extraction stuff needs to be a labor of love. There a certainly points in the process where skills can be roughly taught in a day, however I promise no new tek could out run me on an spd B.c of the skills I’ve built up over several hundred ( maybe 1000+) runs

I do it all from seed. but at some point if they make a machine that you push a button its no longer skilled. But at the same time= its craft. Like I can get a wallet that a machine makes and people kinda move the leather from one station to another, or I can get a 200 dollar horween shell cordovan aka’ horses ass leather wallet and just appreciate it.
spd is a different skill but should earn what skilled educated lab workers make. watching a gauge and turning valves isnt too hard if you didnt build the machine or have intimate knowledge of the process.
I don’t pay for hookers in general. No wonder there’s a bad stench coming from my freezer.

I think he means a lot of people can learn how to extract if they want to but it still is a skill. Hell I was gonna try and open blast to get the hang of it but Killa said to just buy a CLS and never do any sort of open blast even to get the hang of it.
