Edibles not working on some people

Huh…that IS curious

flavor of THC doesn’t seem to matter either. THC O, P, D8, D9, HHC, HHC-O etc all have 0 effect.

THCp has 0 effect???

Contaminated with the silicone lubricant polymers.

On me, yes. Tried up to 60 mg with no effect.

Wow, that’s really stunning

This is all very interesting stuff, in regards to an overactive liver enzyme. I’d also make the suggestion that maybe there is something going on more upstream. Possibly related to gallbladder or the health of people’s bile. Although the bile isn’t digesting noids I believe it does emulsify them which aids in absorption and transport. So maybe if a persons’ bile is unhealthy or gallbladder isn’t functioning up to par (if they still have one).

I’d probably try taking a shot of apple cider vinegar after taking an edible or before taking an edible to stimulate some bile production maybe. See if that does anything. @Shrimp

I’ll try it.

I’m healthy afaik (as in, have had good blood work in this period where they haven’t worked for me).

After eating distillate straight didn’t work I figured maybe it was being passed through my stomach too quickly to be absorbed, and have since tried both baked goods and gummies both to no fanfare.

my bad man, did not mean to seem like I was insinuating anything bad.

I personally have experience with gallblader issues. But I don’t think I ever tried eating edibles during that time period so not sure how if it had any effect.

Basically the gallbladder stores bile which when fats hit your stomach, it triggers the gallbladder to release bile and digest fats. So my thought process is that if the gallbladder isn’t doing a good job then everything else is not going to work as effectively moving through the system to the liver to be metabolized.

Back when I had my gallbladder issues I used to take a shot of braggs apple cider vinegar before a meal to stimulate bile production and would always feel great after, when I was having the issue it would feel like I wasn’t digesting food properly. I ended up doing a pretty big overhaul of my diet/lifestyle (I blame energy drinks) but I think the ACV had a big part of it, and is one of those things that I feel like it definitely won’t hurt to try it out.

I would take a shot glass and fill 10-20% the bottom some braggs ACV and the rest water and toss it back.

No offense taken was just stating for the record.

What you’re saying makes sense to me wrt not properly emulsifying. Were there any other seemingly unrelated symptoms that pointed you towards having gallbladder issues?

Have you tried a small particle size nanoemulsion? I get high from normal edibles but it typically takes a lot longer then normal for me to get an effect from them (like 2-4 hours) and when I do the effects are undesirable (very sluggish and lots of brain fog) and last for a very long time, presumably due to my liver metabolising the THC to 11-hydroxy-THC. Nanoemulsions have totally solved this problem for me and I actually enjoy edibles now.

No, I didn’t notice anything leading up to the gallbladder issue.
I had an “attack” where I could feel it pumping, but it was alarming more than physically uncomfortable. it seemed to be irritated by fatty or spicy foods at the time which I noticed while waiting between tests/consult which took forever to get done, my HIDA scan was like 14% function lol. I attempted to fix it through diet rather than surgery and it worked for me. And the ACV definitely helped me. I can also eat whatever I want now, but had to sorta detox it to get back to that level. My ultrasounds showed no stones so they were just like “ya your gallbladder just sucks and doesn’t work, bad luck” so I was like ok I how bout we not cut this thing out if it doesn’t look like there is anything actually wrong lol

Yes that doesn’t work

Yes same for me, nothing from anything eaten

As a further update to this ongoing saga, I tried some nano-THC over the last few weeks in hopes that it would unlock something new for me, however even titrated up to 50mg (starting to feel ill from sugar consumption by this point) nothing happens.

Next step would be to try 11-Hydroxy-THC directly, but that sounds sketchy at best to me.

Has science come up with a product that can resolve this yet?

Where do I go to get my liver modified? etc
