There are those that are willing to google a person and find there personal info and those that wont. Most people will not bother. If you do search a persons personal info and all there user info I feel sorry for you. To provide that personal info on a plate is not needed. Posting pictures, names and other accounts is just improper practice and that should be frowned upon. For some people it is out there for a proper business practice, not a reason to be able to troll someone. Its the energy needed to define the two of those. If you make it easy for the lazy man there is more likely to be improper behavior at foot. We should not promote that considering where we came from and the idea in general. Its necessary to stay unknown to the general public who do not have the energy to look further unless handed to them. Its like the first rule of what we do. We do not talk about our birth names unless in person. Otherwise we are our handle on the internet and nothing else. Only if relationships are formed via DM that will change and names and faces are brought to hand.

This is a great perspective. For further comments, try to use a block quote and articulate what a guideline posted in the FAQ might look like. I definitely like the idea of a short and sweet ‘this is bad etiquette’ section.
For those who think there needs to be a rule, please present a rule and if you can put it in a block quote like you’d like to see it on the FAQ. Such as:
So we can discuss what enforcing that might look like.
For example: If you are advertising here should people be able to find your BBB and post it here?

sure, if my business was part of the BBB, but its not. I think posting up links to the business is fair game… When you start digging deeper and posting the legal person name that owns that business with his or her address which can be a personal address as seen in Steve. Well that shouldnt be allowed.
Lets try the reversal:
So since you feel so strongly about letting personal information up on the site. How would you feel having your personal name and home address along with pictures of your family plastered all over this forum cause that is what your essentially promoting. You are a public figure. The majority owner of the largest concentrates forum on the internet. Your info is public. What draws the line with your personal information??

Facebook makes you have a personal acct to make a business acct. I wanted to protect my name on both so people couldnt steal them.

It’s one thing to own a hemp business (or any business for that matter) and come here and dip your toes here, learn some new shit, but not use it as a place for sales. Yes, your identity should be private (you aren’t even really acting as a business here, just coming for knowledge) Once you are selling product (as long as your name is openly available on google) idk why it would/should be hidden.

For the sake of convo, replace this with anything like linkdin which is top result when searching for your company, and happens to also be your personal profile and name. On top of public llc records and what not, that’s why a business figure is a much easier decision and line than a personal one. Some states disagree, like Delaware, where anyone can get a LLC without their name on it publicly.
You haven’t seen my moms instagram huh lol (public, family and business together smh). I do not post my name on other forums and that’s why you might have a hard time linking me from one place to another. That being said you could easily find my real name, probably a bunch of old accounts and history, pictures, stupid stuff I posted when I was 14 in places I can’t take back. My address is tied to a few of my domains WHOIS info. If someone did come and publicly post it here I would let it slide, even though if someone else got all that info posted I would call it a dox and flag it. I wouldn’t let your personal address, ssn, picture of your kids, etc get posted here.

We do not gain any more business by fighting with our enemies. We only gain a relationship when the ones that hated us recommend us because they know we will better this world. You do not have to love what I am as a human vessel but you may love what I do as a community. We are all in this for the same idea. If we try to divide the industry people will have to pick sides also. That means its either you and or me, why not the both of us? If you spread that butter farther and more often we will all be soft and delicious. In the end you cannot lose. All the people will be yummy grilled cheese sandwiches. If you wanna hurt other people some will be nasty sandwiches and than you will be a bruised sandwich I only deal with because your in my loop. We should all be the same food on the same plate. It doesnt matter where you eat from we all gain in the end. Its the cycle of life.
