It was for sure cut with full spec cbd distillate so like75%cbd the rest is prolly a mix if d8 d9 from the cbd disty and terps not high in d8 I’ve fucked around with d8 and Temps making random shit and never did it crystallize the hemp bois call that sugar baby

if by “D8 live resin” you mean “CBDA live resin with some D8 distillate in there so I might maybe think I’m getting high”, sure…

I don’t know what I’m working with, that’s why I’m asking for help… I’m not making claims as to what it is, I’m simply asking the community their best guess. I know people here have a lot more experience with cbd, I’ll admit I’m not well informed about d8 or cbd extracts. That is why I posted a question, explaining my thoughts and experience with this oil as a reference to help figure out what it is

Decarbing Thc -a D8
Either isomerize Cbd-a to Thc-a D8 at room temp with the acids known in the art then decarb
Or use a strong base to isomerize Cbd-a d9 > to Cbd-a d8 then use an acid at room. Temp to make Thc-a D8

D8 “live resin” is not a thing.
selling CBD distillate or CBDA + D8 (or as @Roguelab points out, almost anything!) AS live resin is certainly a thing.
D8 THC has not been shown to crystallize, D8 THCA has been claimed, as has crystallization of such (I believe). CBD crystallizes readily. CBDA not quite so much.
edit: and no; best guess is you were sold mostly CBD distillate, 15-20% D8 if you take @tokesandtinkery up on their testing offer.

and neither of those products make sense.
you can’t “squish” D8 out of flowers.
you can’t extract it out of “live” plants.
to be even close to those claims, it has to be CBD with added D8. it still isn’t “D8 rosin” or “D8 live resin”.
it’s CBD plus bullshit.

I comepletely understand now, my opinion was predicated of false information and very limited research. I’ve had little time to actually research since getting this oil, and I’ve purposely ignored anything d8 related because I don’t want anything to do with it.
I’m thankful people have given me a better idea of what’s going on. Trying to communicate with the vendor I purchased the product from, hoping to return it. I may be getting the oil tested by a friend here, just depends if the vendor wants a test for proof
Appreciate the wealth of knowledge and quick rundown as usual. That’s why I enjoy coming here
