Will acetone do this?
Woops XD
It would have shown up in my coa’s in copious amounts
No oddities in our COA’s either. NA across the board on all solvents besides a negligible amount of butane here and there
I used to cold purge my slabs years ago and would have similar chunks crashing out on rare occasions
What could be causing these mysterious chalk rocks?
This is the best thread on here right now.
These are the mysteriesI like, this even falls under the what’s next
My only issue is I don’t know how to make it happen. If I could make it happen I’m sure I could figure out what was going on
It’s 1 of 3 things my guess…1 solvent trapped inside via inclusion from to fast of growth and not letting it properly purge in the jar
- Sub micron crc particles and a lot of em trapped in inclusions from crc…don’t go over ,80psi nitro or you’ll blow em through
…what’s do u run ur nitro at
3… Maybe some kind pesticide or microbial…a .22um filter and some decent clay should remove heavy metals the filter gets microbials and sub micron particles
@Extractionguy I’d love to here so hypothesi from ur thoughts I know your smart as fuck
And op can you make some stay clesf
My guesses are a foliar, a solvent contaminant, or vibration
Exactly and a perfect example of members trying to help members.

Thank you! My first year and half was totally different vibe
Or frequency. Something resonating
For me, it’d be weird if it was because we haven’t added any. And it’s a bunch of different material, too. Sourced from different grows.
Same as dred happens to a bunch of different material from different cultivators. Happened to half of a harvest that the first half processed fine.
Leaning towards solvent contamination myself. Unless all these 5g towers are shooting out some frequency thats resonating with the oil
I also have tons of jars of chalk rocks I’ve made recently and when I get to work today I’ll upload them. Never seen it before this. I’m not using butane at all. Starting with isolate from the centrifuge and after purging and clean up they’re all little tiny rocks of white chalk. I’m using pentane not butane for recrystallizing. I don’t think it’s moisture causing the issue.
i had some issues with a grow using hydrogen peroxide for pm, they literally dipped them in hydrogen peroxide then bagged and froze them with it sopping wet with h202, and it got ran like that. It dried everything out, the extract looked off, and it crashed in day, this was before crc came along. Didn’t look anything like what you guys are dealing with but just reminded me of the shenanigans people do to their weed. Hope you guys figure this one out
Back in my early crc days like 2016, we just used coffee filters. We def got a bunch of media in a few runs, and the diamonds were beautiful clear rocks with a silt like substance in the jar at the bottom so I have a hard time believing its media especially with todays post filtration available off the shelf.
Wonder if the 1st run that came out like this was from something sprayed on the biomass and that contaminated the gas for all the subsequent runs?
Best way to rule that out is save old gas and clean everything and run with new gas. If it happens again its not the gas.
I know Jason has switched gas suppliers, ran on different equipment, changed out every hose and swagelok connection ect. When he got new butane from a a new supplier I had him double clean the solvent tanks once with water and soap to get any water solubles and then with acetone. They have had this issue since march and no-one has been Able to figure it out.
