I may have missed it by why do you think this is the culprit? I was looking at the chemical properties and it had a BP of -47.6 C which is close enough to propane to certainly make it a potential contaminant. I guess I’m not making the connection with an alkene and how it plays into the issue. Not doubting just curious of the thought process.

Nah I actually spoke with my chemist friend awhile back what could be the culprit and he was THE first person to suggest it could be propylene. He said that even at the PPB level it would be problematic.
He works as a chemist for a company making food grade oil.
Some of the solvent out there is testing at 7ppm of propylene.
Thats 7000 ppb!

After talking to a lot of labs I don’t think it’s the whole supply. Some shops are getting hit hard others not at all. Definitely an interesting situation

we were active using Haskells but now were passive and still seeing the issue. Brand new equipment run #1 had the issue.

My homey who doesn’t even do butane asked if people in other industries have had this problem, I know some shit is extracted with butane or propane and was wondering if this issue has effected other industries?

My live resin autoflower runs do that. It’s a slurry of insoluble terps (room temp) that dance around thca powder, slowly depositing onto clean facets after every temp cycle

What kind of temps are you cycling to and from. I am experimenting with temp cycling right now. I am currently swinging from 1c to 24c.
