Seen anything cool or innovative recently?

I’ve ran the ucl 1,2, & now the 3 from growpros. I’ll say that the 3 is my favorite so far and having dual channel control really lets you dial in that spectrum in the sub canopy. I prefer 275w-300w UCL’s as they’ll show more yields overall. The 120-125 or even a 150w you’ll need 2 times as many lights to get a similar result. The ucl 5 keep in mind you’re not blasting the airflow that hard as show in videos on the show floor. You can dial it in to be precise to the cfms you’re wanting to push into the sub canopy. I saw cannabis mechanical trying to talk shit about how hard the air pushes and tbh if they couldn’t wrap their head around dialing it in with a controller over the show pretty glitter strands they probably shouldn’t be dialing in rooms.
Now their overhead chameleon light they just dropped alongside the griffin setup is definitely changing up the game. Being able to control all four channels on the chameleon and paired in unison with ucl dual channels you can really fine tune into your plants needs & wants to get their feed rates up and drive plants to finish faster without loss of yield or terps. The griffin on the other hand will allow you to choose specific spectrum bars to link into the lighting and is an also controllable multichannel setup.
Their clone lights as well are among some of the best I’ve used. By far outdoing most on the market currently for ppfd and actual output.
Thanks, I meant to link the Griffin as well.
The Chameleon definitely looks nice for vertical set ups.
does china sell that direct? I have some far red i got off alibaba.
They have a warehouse in Chico that can ship direct to you.
im sitting on my lights for now. But i was sourcing from alibaba like the name brand people They can make custom setups and brand it if you get the right sources.
I would like to respectfully ask that we reserve this thread for anything NEW or INNOVATIVE. Not to discuss cheap alternatives.
This is the appropriate thread if you wish to discuss cheap LED options. Thank you.
so far red and uv are new? I thought its 5 years old when i bought it when it was new? And china is the source after they buy the led from korea and you can get good bin led from the right peole. i even have cree far red I think?
are you saying this is an ad and you need to be a person who buys leds and resells to post?
I have a thorough understanding of the effects of uv and far red. What are your results with that light? And since you are into branding why is it better than alibaba or another brand. What is the difference between v1 and 3 and why is that your go to? do you run far red all the time or at light off?
Wonder what y’all’s opinion on this and say the cypress evo from buildasoil or the new ac infinity one compared to the other ones mentioned here
I’ve ran some EVO8’s from AC Infinity. They perform well (decent array of diodes for full spectrum w/ a solid driver + high efficiency at 3.14 µmol/J), but I think there’s better options in a similar price range. Not sure what new lights you’re referring to?
I’ve seen the mammoths mint greens in person and as far as I’m concerned that green spectrum just doesn’t exist in a real led diode. It’s a film/cover they use to create it and it doesn’t do as much beneficial growth for flower cycles, but as far as a veg cycle is concerned utilizing that green spectrum allows you to”to keep the plants awake” without penetrating into the tissue of the plant and causing photosynthesis. Thus allowing the plant to constantly eat in theory. I use to utilize this in commercial grows with additional supplemental led lighting but it was never much difference in rooms that used it and ones that didn’t.
I can tell you the hybrid from Matrix is going to absolutely crush it.
The Griffin will offer much more fine tuning depending on your needs.
The AC Infinity mainly benefits from the 10 level dimming and removable driver, making it a solid option for a tent set up (especially when paired with their controller).
Unless you are a MASTER grower like me= The light isnt the limiting factor. get your vpd and high co2 and gain some skill.
Get in there look with a glass. Put tampons in the garden and invite insects. Carry a gun and use it.
It’s new in the sense that lights have it built in now. I spent all my covid stimulus check on uv and far red bars. Frost and terps are greatly improved, but not yield. Far red probably reduces crop time, which does have an economic benefit, but they use a fair amount of electricity without a boost in yield.
Do you know why far red works/ it stimulates a photochrome response? Its like sleeping after sex. Similar to how you see red through the atmosphere at sunrise and set. Also the top leaves get most of the light but the light that soaks past the canopy is far red.
Just a heads up for all my up north Canada folks here, I just got words a certain branch of growpros company is going to be able to offer a free light setup trial for grows in Canada as long as they can show license and light/energy bill for the facility you can opt to receive free state of the art lights with them. The project is underway but a very big deal coming for the up north folks to be able to update their grows with the best lights out and start producing the best expressions they can from dialing in light spectrums alongside nutrients and environment instead of just placing a fixed spectrum light.
Check them out for the current commercial rebate program to see if you are eligible for lights and what they can do for you!
They also offer financing with grow world ag ![]()
They also do free layouts
They just dropped this episode with grow world ag they did during bizcon week about spectrums with a partnership they have doing studies with a dr from the university of Minnesota
If anyone’s serious about a build or wanting to upgrade let me know cause I can put you into one of our programs and get you the absolute best deals on their products. They have many different cultivation solutions take a peak at the catalog
