That feeling when you peel the plastic and the entire top layer actually stays put <3

nothing beats it. first pic stuff actually melts but it’s from kief that falls through a screen we hand trim over, 2nd pic doesn’t fully melt

@TheFire210, that second picture reminds me of the early 70’s. How tasty is it??

yea the look and consistency is on point and it burns real clean but doesn’t melt as much as i like. kief from a machine trimmer is never as good tho

I have never really cared super heavy for melt, like yeah it’s super fucking good and I admit its the top - but half melt stuff that you don’t mind pinching off with your fingers and stuffing straight into a pipe is just so satisfying. I baby quality melt way too much

o yea I’m not talking about like 710 labs full melt bubble. this stuff is like the half melt you’re talking about. its the best consistency for sure :+1:

I’d like to get a hakko/hot wand or a fancy cup/nail setup, I’m not crazy about dabbing hash out of a banger

Man, I gave my 456 to my buddy before I moved. I had no idea they discontinued them.

@TheFire210 this might be an alternative. Looks to be a ceramic heating element with a similar sleeve structure to the 456.

I was thinking about trying a cheap cheap one, I’ve got one of these I actually use to solder and it works fairly well for that. Has the same style ceramic tip

hell yea that things awesome. do you know where to get a hash pipe to use with it too? i saw one in a video a while back that had air holes on the rim of a bowl unstead of at the bottom like normal so the hash doesn’t melt into the pipe

Get at @TheWillBilly, @Slabby or @WhereAreTheStones. Slabby blows glass and the other two are well-connected. I believe WhereAreTheStones has experience working glass as well. I just used a glass screen in a bowl since you can get excellent control with the ceramic wand.

I could whip up a 3 hole hash pipe if that’s something you’re after, or check out str8glass on IG he makes clean multiple hole bowls.

checked out his ig. he does good work but the hole in the bottom seems like hash would just melt through it

I have never used this company but this is an option I have seen before,

Frenchy Cannoli uses a “heat rod” similar to the soldering iron but specialized.

Kind of like a “heat knife” but for hash. I have not been able to find one or talk to anyone that knows where to buy one.

https://www.drdabber.com/ is a similar concept, but electric and may have a use case for hash.

Yellow Bird wholesale in Portland has those hash pipes for cheap if China glass quality is ok.

I also wanted to add to this thread that using two 73 micron filters back to back is worth your time if washing at the 25+ gallon level. Didn’t really feel worth the extra bbag for a 5 gal setup.

that bong attachment is sick but i like the unfiltered hits from pipes. These pipes are the evolution of knife hits lol i used to do those back in like 2010 before i got a rig… they hit fucking hard

@SpookyDistillation yea doctor dabber would probably work for full melt hash but most hash would gunk it up bad, know what i mean?
