I have Teflon tape on the screw caps for both. How do I close them off even more?
I have many many spare gaskets, gl fittings, basically a spare of everything but the head and cow.
Same as my grow. I have a mini grow store as backups.

Clean, degrease, grease, those 2 spots and test again.
I just turn the joint and look at my bullseye to find leaks.
Use a clamp support on the head. When you rotate flasks, its putting unneeded weight on the head/bf area.
get that distillation head level before distillation too

You mean the bottom part of the head connecting to the BF needs to be pointing perfectly straight up?

Sometimes it just takes a few times to get grease right.
32 microns should be more that sufficient to pull off a successful distillation

Better to start refreshed and amped up knowing your starting at a good starting point. Then burnt out.

I’m taking my second run, everything seems to be great - except my mantle is taking FOREVER to heat up. Is there something wrong with my mantle? My pace of temp increases? Could it be the crude?
Don’t buy that
its not for me but a friend but all the GL fittings scared me.
