So what you are saying is, if I turn the motor off on the WFE, it will get the exact same recovery rate as with the motor on?
That is laughable.
It is ignorant to think the product we are working with is not a thick and viscous product (crude). The removal of solvents from a thick and viscous product is done best with a WFE so as to prevent degradation during the recovery such as darkening or decarboxilation.
There is no possibility of a tube clogging and the solvent taking the path of least resistance around it. Cleaning is a sinch: simply bring it up to pressure and everything washes down.
The mechanical seal is rated to 400psi and is used on many industrial systems. This is the only real thread you have to pull on because it moves. The rollers are nylon and pretty much last forever, everything else is stainless steel.
It is a positive pressure system so due to Henry’s law, we gain the added benefit of the pressure forces volatile molecules, such as terpenes, to stay soluble in the crude mixture. The greater the pressure, the greater the solubility.
Needles to say, Mr. Harris has never been a fan of ours. A couple years ago he said our refrigeration system was a lie and made a big stink about it. Well, unfortunately for him, it is happily in operation at multiple facilities today.

The FFE is a positive pressure system as well, so that gain is linear…
You can control viscosity of the oil easily with how fast you are feeding the machine and what operating pressure you have in the system…
You must not have ever ran a FFE if you think they clog tubes… It is possible to foul a tube due to lack of cleaning or scaling, but I have NEVER seen a FFE or RFE tube clog from product lol…
Residence time is very low in FFE/RFE’s…

Pretty much all FFE’s are positive pressure because otherwise you will just pull you product through with very little contact with the surface area falling through the core and therefore failing to operate. I am rather surprised with so many people choosing this route. You are basically letting 1/3 of the solvent get through every pass.
We make use of centrifugal forces as well as the physical agitation to increase the amount of molecules which come in contact with the heated surface. It is ignorant to believe this does not contribute to the vapor generation capability. No different than a cold lighter trying to get a strike or spd making more vapor.
I personally test and prove each item before making mention of what we are currently doing. Our Behemoth models have each extracted over 100klbs plus using this very technology.
I might be able to arrange something. We are getting the second Behemoth hooked up next week and signed off on soon after at our local facility. It is the latest version with the refrigeration system and all the goodies.

We have a machine that my partner is considering selling for 350k with chillers and heater. Does 40 lbs every 15 min if you’re just extracting for crude to be remediated later

Not gonna see 1000+ lbs out of a behemoth per shift though. No way. I run one of these and we get 500-700 lbs per 8 hr shift.

This is why we quote the rate in #/hr instead of per shift… 100#/hr is the maximum rate the R600 can achieve. The R800 has 8" columns and a much larger compressor. It comes in at a maximum rate of 300#/hr.
Sacrificing yield for a lower ratio is not really advised, instead maybe introduce some butane to the mix like our cannabis clients. They run a 70/30 mix propane heavy blend. Still gets the benefit of propane with the solubility of the longer chain butane.

Currently everyone has various forms of the 600 model, from a single GD1 to the standard dual GD1 model, or with/without the refrigeration upgrade.
The R800 has the same footprint as the R600 but with a much higher throughput. The amount of bio that can be extracted in a day is not so much limited by the column count but more-so by the compressor running the system. We tried to match our column count to compressor size across all systems so as to minimize the amount of change-out’s per day and still hit the numbers desired per hour.
Extraction time does not include startup/shutdown times as this can vary per user. We suggest the system be ran on a 3-shift operation to maximize efficiency.

Side-by-side it took liquid co2 an hour to get an entire column below -50c whereas my system takes 5-10 minutes (multiple sizes available). Lower temperatures are achievable, this is just happens to be where most IR thermopile sensors cut out at (-50c).
We are in the process of automating all systems, which will include multiple point data tracking and analysis.
