I’m actually trying to crystallize the CBD A using hydrocarbon like thc a
I wonder if the fact my lab gets super hot is preventing crystallization, if crystals start to form and they melt…

If it’s like jelly, that’s fats and phospholipids. The first pic looks like tails. Tails have the long chained Waste-y stuff that will prevent crystallization. Look up Van der Waals or London dispersion forces

This would barely yield 50% in crystallization. The other junk is what’s causing it to resist crystallization
