Why is @sidco censoring this thread

Continuing the discussion from Approx. 7.5 kg of Hemp Derived D8 available:

@CO_Chromatography gah I do! You can see the split right, it is obviously in thread?

@RedundantAlexithymia What do you propose? A couple thoughts and things we can agree on:
Users should be aware of dangerous products. We are not here to regulate the market, but educate it.
Thought, A single post or wiki we link to listing dangers of each product (carts, mystery oils, solvents…) that can be posted in each topic you feel it relates to.

I recommend pushing wikiJane harder.

Right, so what’s the point of splitting the thread discussing @Mosaic_Co-Labs converted material?

From my perspective it looks like you took out any negative comment so that potential buyers can just skim by the split and only see the positive comments… thus leading to more sales for @Mosaic_Co-Labs.

If it wasn’t for the fact that he’s an ambassador for GLG and knows @Future personally, I wouldn’t be as suspicious.

My proposal is remove the split, and we can make a wiki page for future posts. Otherwise I’ll keep calling it censorship.

Don’t they leave breadcrumbs of the split?

I can concur. What would you do when OP starts a topic and the conversation loses focus? Are you saying we shouldn’t split any topic anymore? Who gets to decide?

Splitting topics seems to get me the most negative feedback by far I have noticed second to not banning Chinese IPs.

it wasn’t off topic though

Lmfao. Sidco stays censoring. I agree

@Slabby glad you’re still on top of things xD
@RedundantAlexithymia @CO_Chromatography
Do you vote no more splitting at all? It is an idea I can get behind. Is there an appropriate time / place to split a topic?

Seems clear as day to me for following, but I haven’t read the entire thread.

Perhaps when splits happen whoever splits can leave a Reasoning

down with censorship
of any form.

Is moving it and still finding it censorship?

I disagree.

Edit: saving sidco time is easy, so I’m sure he’s more than willing to do less

I agree with your premise.
The argument is if I move it around, am I making it hard to see? The answer is yes since they have to click on a link to see it when you pose the question like that.
I am just wondering how one would then handle spam and when / who gets to draw the line. Surely @CannaQuantum doesn’t want to look at Viagra offers all day on a hash forum.

If the thread is about “selling X product” and someone wants to talk about what is in it, its uses, its safety, and OP of original thread just wants to talk about selling it should it be split? what if it goes off to peoples personal lives in Florida? We gotta figure out some boundaries somewhere.

I’d have setup bots a long time ago if I didn’t see the value and hard work here.

It might be best to start with some level of consistency.

Why would you clean up only this one thread concerning the risks of purchasing d8? Didn’t @ProEndo try to give away a bunch of d8 that wasn’t pure enough per some of our standards and we derailed his entire thread seeking an answer, in fact I think it happened twice.

Is what makes the difference just a matter of the op stating what they want people to or not to discuss?

I don’t think I am a fan of splitting (still on the fence). Let the flame threads burn.

I much rather things get sent to the pit.

I agree with @RedundantAlexithymia that it wasn’t off topic and shouldn’t be split.

I’m all for not splitting threads, regardless of what you decide though @sidco splitting the thread in question is a form of censorship cut and dry, clearly in benefit of @Mosaic_Co-Labs.

Yes. Any user can split a topic and change course themselves. Some users have abilities to move and rename whole topics. Lots of posts get put in the wrong place, like CannaBusiness when the should be in Support. @CO_Chromatography politely turned all the banter into one solid post. https://future4200.com/t/approx-7-5-kg-of-hemp-derived-d8-available/89587/21

We lean towards op on moderation (of their own thread). There was a request to split. I don’t think those split link will be overlooked.

Depending on who the user is flagging and being flagged 2-3 flags will temporarily hide the comment until a mod intervenes, a lot of it is legit spam. Haven’t gotten around to automating Flag reports but here is an idea.

Absolutely Not.

If people want to try and sell unsafe/dangerous shit that’s their purgative, BUT if the community raises questions about the questionable unknowns found in the product, then that discussion is related Directly to the product in question.

It’s pretty simple, if it is an actual safe product and there has been proper data acquisition on the material, then the OP should have answers for all these questions and it should make their product look even better because they know it’s safe. They can post Mass spec data, HPLC data, IR data and NMR data to appease the masses.

Or even better the product is 98%+ and there aren’t any questionable unknowns in the material, if that’s the case then I doubt the OP would be grilled.

It’s like I told @Mosaic_Co-Labs in his thread, if you don’t want people questioning the safety of your product then make safe products. If you don’t want people questioning your unknowns then eliminate the unknowns. If you are unable to do so cost effectively, then prepare for a shitstorm when you try to sell bunk shit on here.
