Look into 2-stage winterization. Pretty rapid solution in my experience, able to remove the bulk of plant lipids in roughly 14-16hrs with an ultra low deep freezer. But in regard to your initial question, winterization is important if you are looking to make a finished concentrate. Especially shatter, otherwise you will see a lot of nucleation sites on your slab.
