So this is the 3rd time my large separation funnels keep breaking…im not bumping it touching it or nothing just breaks
I didn’t have it loaded I used it 2x and once again another one snaps in the same spot…this one I didn’t even notice till I went to get it out to clean…I leave in my stand all the time break at the stopcock

Is it possible that the stand is exerting pressure at some weak place in the glass? Got a pic of your stand?

no I saw it today fine…come.home.to make one last pull or 2 and broken…I mean I can siphon it off but fuck me these aren’t cheap

could be a defect in the glass, the stopcocks are sometimes cast boro, on some you can even see a parting line. Do your have a small ridge across the valve?

the valve shouldn’t leak, it drains out the bottom like yours does
I think I’m with Waxplug, it looks like something is causing the stop-cock to swell, or something. With it being right there at that point? Huh, weird for sure
