Who is king of EToH Recovery?

Hey there, I am interested in what you have going on here???

my group is in the final stages of producing an upgrade kit on a ces sprayvap to convert it to twice the surface area on the separation (falling) column. if anyone is operating a sprayvap, this would be a cost effective way to increase your production. our equipment is designed and manufactured by a licensed engineer. pls contact me if your interested.

FYI that dude isn’t selling anything and is making claims that don’t match known energy requirements for evaporation capacity, and got super defensive about proving his claims. I also very much doubt he’s actually gotten it certified if you wanted to have the fire marshall sign off on your building.

Also doesn’t look like he’s had any activity on here for months

Did you just made the @resinosa account that day to post that pinnacle is the shit? Do you work pinnacle or have any relationship with pinnacle?

If you care about energy cost, the best solution is a natural gas fired boiler and steam heat for your evaporator.
Likewise, unless your plant is on a source of once through cooling water, a cooling tower using evaporative cooling is the cheapest cold for your condensers.
As cannabis processing moves from the mini plant scale to the pilot plant scale to the market development plant scale to full production scale, the more it will look like any other refinery.
Think big…

I just made a Baine named Maria

Load =15gal in an oem sanke keg

Cost: less than $100 (ok $400, but most of the parts were laying around)

Refineries never saw themselves getting that big. It happened through multitude of reasons.

that’s quite the diptube

Turns out it was the only 2” spool I currently have on hand.

It was deliberate when purchased, because I was reproofing the solvent from my cryo-bath (its packed too), but I went to swap it out this evening for a stripping run on 50lb/15gal and realized it was all I had.

I need at least a 12” spool to get gravity feed into the 55gal drum via the flat plate HE. guess I’ll pick one up tomorrow.

Or perhaps make progress on the far more kosher 40gal still in corner?

It happened because of the economies of scale.
Big iron is cheaper on a $/pound of product basis than a bunch of small units.
If you can keep it running 24/7 otherwise the capital cost eats you alive.
A world class refinery run at 90+% capacity prints money while at 75% capacity it bleeds money.

Yes I agree with you. I said a multitude of reasons.

You know that sang. Making money is the easy part - keepin it is the hard part. Economies of scale is a half the battle. Don’t forget about diseconomies of scale. A lot of hemp/cannabis producers built fat labs without taking it into account.

My point was really talking about the history of how a “modern day refinery” occurred. They didn’t just build these massive things that pumped money. First it was one product and then vaporization of waste came into play.

@DENEX would you email me at adam@solvis.us when back in the office. I would like to discuss a 55 gal/hr solvent recovery requirment Thanks!

we falling film

This membrane based beast would have to be a contender:

The fastest and cheapest falling film on market is the summit ffe unit. Half the price of any competition with serious speeds.75k with certified German pumps and all USA made.

Business has taken a serious hit since the vitamin e vape scandal. We always used only cannabis terps and the best carts we could find, no corners cut, I can honestly say we did it as well as anyone could have. Didn’t matter to the customer they were understandably shook. If I could afford a unit the one I would go with is the Yellowstone. Things just ain’t what they used to be. “Forward, always forward!”

I think a lot of people are feeling that pain. The news hype didn’t help anything at all. The truth is, the careful consumers are the only ones who changed their behavior and they were probably buying quality product to begin with.
