We make replacement brass nuts in house… pretty simple process. Can make custom hoses up to 1.5" as well.
Brass is chosen as the weak point. If the clamp is to fail, the nut should be the source.
Just use anti-seize and stainless nuts…

Ateast you know what you’re getting when you buy from grainger. Buying from HFS or BVV you’re getting nuts made of some kind of chinesium that look the part and that’s it.
“Heavily overpriced” is usually synonymous with “to spec”.
What are u guys tightening ur bolts to? Read a thread here that said 30-40 ish depending on the gasket u use. But that just seems like nothing so I always tighten extra … probably just causing my nuts to wear prematurely
