What would cause a mantle to heat past set temp and burn? Terry from lanphan

No he is NOT replacing it. He wants me to crate it up and ship it back so he can look at it even though I have literally sent him like 30 videos and 100 pictures (each in a different scenerio he requested) it failed every single one.

2nd pic shows him essentially telling me he is not shipping a new one like he said. He’s a liar

How did you pay for it? Always use your debit card NEVER use your bank account. Your debit card you can dispute, a bank transfer can only be reverses when its fraud

Try this: plug in the temp prob and place it inside the mantle. See if it overshoot whatever temp you set it at. It shouldnt overshot too bad or it sounds like the temp probe port is malfunctioning

I used my credit card through alibaba. He setup a trade assurance order because I wasn’t going to do direct deposit or western union. Now I’m wondering if I can call my credit card company and get it canceled.

I have already put this mantle in every possible scenario with Terry all on video. I can pull up that vid if you like.

What size of roto? I would let them send it and if theres a problem dispute. The reason i say this is because alibaba is like ebay and will protect you. I got sent a bad chiller from China once and i did a dispute on alibaba. They made me upload a video to youtube showing it wasnt working and they gave me a full refund shipping and all. You can also do a visa dispute if an item isnt as descibed or broken when you recieve it

My bad didnt know you tried that. I got a 20 liter heating mantle from them and have been using it for 3 months no issues. I also have a roto, a heated oil bath, and a chiller from them. The roto ive had some problems with but still works. Some of there stuff is better then others it seems like. Is your mantle 110v or 220v?

I got the R-1005 5L auto lift with a 10-50L vacuum water aspirator. That was $1685 plus $1000 shipped to North Carolina.

I would apply for a refund simply because Terry is not trustworthy like I thought he was. YMMV but I doubt it

i did not see the probe in the heating mantle in your video.

Not sure what size mantle you need.

It’s a 5L. I am not going entertain Terry any more. I have sent him videos of every single request. I have sent videos of the probes and where they are located. He is going in circles now. He is going to force me to post the full conversation with videos and pictures because now he is publicly lying

In this video the probe is not being used. It’s the black plug in burn in sensor that reads sleeve temp

I appreciate your wanting to help.

Damn so it overshot with both the black plug in and with the thermocouple connected?

Reading your posts has me a bit shook. I also bought a mantle from him and it’s just sitting there until I get my rotovap and vac pump and this whole time I just assumed I got a good deal on a piece of kit that had the convenience of not requiring a thermocouple in the flask.

Any time

Im.always willing to help, as much help as i need with this spd run, im glad to give back.

Usalabs can probably ship out one asap. Ask for dave

Correct. With either probe plugged in it overshoots drastically
