That’s the rule I set for my buddies. I pass out free keepers of what seed strains they give me
its only fair, if the seed was passed to you, you only owe it to the one who made it possible for you to enjoy the wonders of that seed, and return the specimen as a token of your appreciation
There is a limit of 5. Then its 10.00/clone after.
These 45 are all the genetics I’ve got right now unfortunately so I have to fill the tables with what I get out of them. I was thinking about going 2 phenos per light and save any others for the following run.
Hmmmm
So many choices
Edit
I have about 30 more various packs to pop from other private breeders. Below is all from GK Genetics
As an aside, I just want to say thank you to whoever edited the title of this thread. It was killing me for the last few weeks, and I am grateful! Also, thanks to everyone for sharing the focus of your hunting. Always fun to see which flavor profiles people are looking at and working to breed.
Some friends of mine made a new keeper by accident that’ll be hitting the market soon (only as usable product, no seeds or cuts). It’s Jilly Bean x Do Si Dos … they are calling it Jildo. Unreal nose to it. Excited to see how it extracts. They say, “it smells kinda like a lemon lifesaver that’s been pickled in grape jelly.”
The gg4 x hyper cherry pie sounds interesting.
you don’t like keppers?
Lol you probably have the ability to edit it also
@StoneD, while I do have those privileges, I feel like an asshole being the grammar police. It also feels weird to change what someone has written without their consent or knowledge of said edit. That’s also why I didn’t make mention the day it was made. I first read it as kipper, and thought of the sardine tins… gross! Just stoked it was changed! Made me want to add my two cents.
Lol… I didn’t do it, but I’ve been known to change a few without asking. I’m probably that asshole lmao
I didnt even see the grammar error. I’m not a grammar nazi, but I do prefer proper grammar, and punctuation.
My kindergarten teacher, I had to correct her on spelling the word pterodactyl for my sons show n tell.
man you got some gold on deck!! I’m jealous
You should see what I have in the fridge.
I don’t even want to know the fire you have on deck
Any tips on popping old seeds?
I’ve heard lot of things from scuffing the shell to biting them. The oldest I’ve popped were about 5 years old. They weren’t stored in the fridge, just in a plastic bag in a dark place…
I find the old seeds take a bit longer to pop but they typically pop just the same…
I soak my seeds in URB microbes at full concentration for about an hour, then they go into a shot glass with water for ~24hrs. From here I soak some jiffy pucks or any form of cloning cube with a diluted URB solution (5ml/1gal) and pop the seeds in there. Keep it moist, never dry, never soaked. After 3 days I usually get sprouts on new seeds. It takes about a week for old seeds to sprout for me.
I keep them in a mostly sealed clear tote on the corner of the veg room to keep humidity a bit high until they sprout, then they go in veg in the shade of some bigger plants for a few weeks till they can take the light
I do only get like 60-70% success though whether it’s old or new seeds, so take that into consideration too if you try my method lol
I am hunting for CBC dominant strain right now.
According to this study, https://sci-hub.tw/https://doi.org/10.1002/jps.2600640546 , CBC could be found in abundant concentrations in landrace cannabis strains from India in the 1970’s.
So that’s what I’m running. Landrace from India best I can find. The internet bears little information about CBC in particular strains, supposedly Three Kings (a cross of Sour D, OG Kush, and Headband - three faves) and Tora Bora are two strains with higher CBC concentrations. I’ve got some packs of each coming.
According to the study, “… it is now clear that II [CBC] is more abundant in some variants than I [CBD] and that II can no longer arbitrarily be considered a minor cannabinoid.”
Apparently sam the skunk.man and people he worked with have made this. If you can contact him on icmag you may get at least more pertinent info.
I will reach out to him for sure. Lots of crazy stories out there about that bloke including that he was a lifelong narc. Who knows though seems like he did revolutionary breeding work which was just privatized and bought by a pharma company and never really trickled out to the worldwide grow community. Now you can buy 100mg of pharma grade FDA approved CBD for like $28,000 or something.
They developed single cannabinoid dominant strains 20 years ago, yet where are they now? obviously anyone could make s killing slanging seed if they had CBN, CBC, CBL etc dominant cannabis varieties.
On another note I’ve located seed with this profile in the flower:
14.6% CBD
0.7% CBG
2.6% CBC
It’s a cherry wine cross.
