Vape cartridge re-use

Hey uh so.…. Not sure I want to stir the pot anymore but I absolutely got the idea of cleaning carts (as I mentioned above) directly from your video and thought the process was safe until this thread. Pretty eye opening to say the least.

I’m sure it’s making you money and it looks like you made a new video about it (haven’t watched it yet) but if this is as dangerous as the pros here are saying I kinda feel like you should take that old video down as people are obviously following along.

Most times youtubers make a later post that brings up the invalid points, and use youtubes historical editing tools to add a link to the old video.

Please keep in mind that this industry is only a few years old and we are all learning

The best perspective to have, imo

Honestly there are things that can be improved for the future, and watching your channel a little more shows that you are really dedicated @HowToWeed

Points of improvement to this process would be using [smaller mixing vessels]

(The Honeypot 25ml Corked Jar - Cart Farm) (20ml ~20mm dia) that would fit in your filling gun’s heat vessel. Your poorer viewer base can put in a terp perl, ptfe stir stone, or marble and swirl the jar to mix your solution.

The next point of improvement is an argon blanket, obtainable here. Spray a 2 second burst over your distillate before heating to cut down on oxidation.

Heat your distillate either in a microwave or in the gun’s heater to 80-90c, and drop in your mixing device. Add your pre-measured terps, cap, and swirl. You can re heat the blend with that gucci wagner heat gun on low.

That brings me to your dispenser. I have a better quality one I can offer you in bulk next month, as I recently bought the next two years of henke’s production capacity.

This dispenser features a capable stainless steel reservoir, and completely adjustable syringe.

It lends its self to your process, as it can hold the honeypot in place, and allow for your heat wrap as evidenced here:

Here is where an argon blanket would come in handy. You could avoid a whole bunch of oxidation. The cf50 would bring you more utility here as well, as your blanket would transfer. Furthermore, you could run a syringe filter, to remove some of those fats inline, and make for a tastier end product.

You are on to an amazing start here but this steam distill process is much more obtainable for your viewership. You literally microwave your biomass and collect terps. You can also backfill the jar with nitrogen or argon, to keep terps from oxidizing

That argon gas from the wine preserver is a neat trick for low cost argon I love it.

I’ll take a look at the rest of your suggestions as well, for that jar though the cork doesn’t concern you? I imagine it’ll soak up a lot of the terpenes while initially heating and mixing

I assume you’re talking about the white plug on the small cart farmer?

If so, I also assume it’s ptfe (teflon), so it should be compatible with terps.

This appears to just be a cork

Completely not what I was talking about lol, I assumed wrong.

Didn’t see the link.

The cork is mostly for short term mixing. The entire point of high heat is an ultra short duty time, and the point of the argon blanket is raising the energy cost of terpene evaporation.

Im gonna list a smaller, but better capped jar for <5ml scale, they have ptfe cap liners to assuage your concerns
