I honestly eat raw buds all the time, THCA is incredibly therapeutic and as a former chef, I enjoy the taste or raw terpenes… except a lot of them cause me inflammation of the throat. I am just stating that FECO is don’t with cold extraction to remove waxes and chlorophyll removing the plant taste vs RSO which is done at warm extraction creating a darker oil
I would love to expand on this. I brought a partner in with a doctorate in chemistry to explain side by side ethanol vs butane and she explained the difference is very little. With ethanol I am getting less selective in what i am extracting vs butane which is more selective. by warming the butane to 10-20c i will mitigate its selectiveness but allow for easier removal of the solvent. with ethanol i will need to leave some solvent in there to preserve the terpenes as removing that last bit of residual will cost me quality of medicine. I am spending a lot of time on getting the freshest material possible through my post harvest team, which to me is the most important part, I don’t want to fuck up all the work I am doing to get that material by over purging/vac-ing the product. What do you feel about this?
So you agree it’s NOT Full Extract Cannabis Oil?
Because you are NOT extracting the same things…your chemist explicitly stated you’re extracting LESS STUFF.
Or are you stuck on insisting it’s FULL SPECTRUM (just different?)…even though you KNOW you left some (don’t know what they are) things behind?
How are we supposed to cultivate educated users if we can’t agree on terminology?
Why are you set on claiming your BHO has a chemical profile equivalent to a rm temp ethanol extract? It doesn’t.
Does it matter medically or recreationally?
Fact is we don’t know.
Conflating the two by using the same name serves who? How?
qwet is “quick wash”. Supposed to be done cold. Doesn’t sound like that’s the SOP you used. No chlorophyll in an appropriately performed qwet.
Have you read RSO Made with bho machine
Tell your Dr. friend she doesn’t know about extracting plant material.
Polar protic vs Non polar aprotic ….I think she is saying “little difference in Cannabinoid” extraction, NOT full spectrum aspect. (As noted ABOVE)…and you are mis-quoting out of context (her meaning). If that is not true…fire her.
Yes, RSO and FECO markets are 100% WEEDO. (Your work is fine)*
*If you look back in “Butane works but no Theory”, I appended an article that identified over three thousand organic compounds in Trichomes extracts by GC MS. So to think of anything “RSO or FECO” in terms of crude “polar protic” extracts , the complexity is mind boggling. Combine that with the public’s perception “that it works” for some vaguely described malady.
Recently, I am rather interested in the anti-cancer effects of CBDA and CBGA.
What ever you are doing, you might not want to decarb.
I appreciate the insight guys, I am sharing as much information as I have currently and would appreciate keeping the conversation education instead of combative
As far as full spectrum goes, I plan to experiment with adding isolates like CBG, CBD and CBN to create a more full spectrum product. I studied cannabis research for the top ten illnesses at a great university and have helped alot of patients because of this.
Its not very uplifting when I’m sacrificing my own time and putting in effort to help people and just get bashed for doing what others are not. Is anyone else in this thread is trying to reach 10’s of thousands people with plant medicine and trying to provide it at the highest quality while being most cost effective? This has got to be one of the most toxic and negative threads in cannabis I participated in. I am seeking knowledge and collaboration on trying to make the best medicine I can with the equipment I have and it seems all everyone cares about is bashing and being right while not trying to heal people with this plant like who created it intended. Thank you all for your comments and I really hope you protecting your ego is worth more than helping someone who is wanting to help sick people and create a pathway to get what they need to do it as cash flow is available. I am always a student but on this site I run into more people who would much rather boast their opinion instead of seeing that legal cannabis has to balance cost effectiveness and proof of concept before I ask them to drop another 50k on equipment. I sincerely appreciate those of you that messaged me personally and shared real information without ego. We are stewards of this plant, not egotistical know it all’s who put people down with the opportunity to reach the patients who do not have access to the medicine we can provide, please reflect on that
I’m always happy to talk tech and science. Dm me, and I’ll be happy to go down some rabbit holes with you.
