I want to take a cart farmer PID and make it heat a hot piece of metal rather heat tape. I have a four pin outlet. I dont know what to even search for because hot probe or thermal probe brings up pt-100s and other thermometers. Can someone either help me with a search term or a straight up product?
Guessing “cartridge heater” is your search term.
Four of those, a jack, and a couple of Alu plates and you haz rosin press.
Finding one with a built-in k-type thermocouple might allow direct => “4 pin”.
Guessing that’s how the tape is implemented…not actually willing to interrogate ours atm.
