Hey y’all, I’m looking for an efficient way to clean up the remainder of color in my diamonds after the terp pour off. I’ve found a light wash with butane kind of works. However, since butane is so cold and evaporates so quickly, I’m wondering if there is a better way. Thanks! Y’all are always the best.

Define BHO…because you did NOT wash with BHO.

Throw that shit in some pentane in a griffin flask
Put that shit in a hood and let evaporate
You can control the evap through a variety of ways and the evap will determine your end crystal size and facets

Pentane won’t re-dilute them?
And 80F with vac for purge? Or where ya think I could start. Never touched pentane before

I’d suggest warm water…but a fuge usually does the trick without added solvent.
You can combine a just smidge of solvent with your sweater too…

Water is THE universal solvent.

I mean, no arguments there. I just figured that water would not dissolve the impurities, since in my experience they are mostly non-polar organic impurities. Plus, you have to deal with drying your THCA afterwards, not to mention the possibility of bacterial growth when your diamonds are wet. I’m not gonna knock the method until I try it, it was just surprising to read!
Thca isn’t water soluble.
Dry them with a towel.
Sometimes the simplest solution works.

Do you recommend any particular fuge? I’m hoping for one without disposable containers and preferable a larger one so I can scale up.
